Cont: 2020 Presidential Election part 3

There's provisional ballots in Pima. I think >15,000 of them.

Given the trends in both locations and if your information is correct, it seems extremely unlikely that Trump could even cut into Biden's lead almost downright impossible to flip the State.

Can someone explain little and big letters to him?

They had about 13,500 provisional ballots left to count at the end of Tuesday. The provisional ballots take a bit longer to process. Not sure how many were counted yesterday. They got through about 4,000 provisional ballots the previous day.

Of course if Trump had spent any of the last four years investigating the fraud in the 2016 elections he might not have fallen victim again in 2020...

Seriously the man had control of both houses of Congress, the resources of the DOJ at his beck and call and he's spent almost every day since 2016 complaining about voter fraud without doing one thing to provide evidence or take any measures to prevent a rerun. The Republicans really need to grow a spine tell him he lost and just get on with the transition.

Well that's a clear unambiguous allegation for which they'd better have solid evidence.

If not, can Dominion sue OANN, or would OANN rely on the Tucker Carlson defence ?

Saw this on the BBC live feed:

White House spokeswoman defers question to... White House

In an interview with Fox News today, White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany refused to answer a question about when Biden will receive top secret briefings, and deferred the question to the White House.

As the White House spokeswoman, it's somewhat odd that she would defer a question to her own department.

McEnany has been working "in a personal capacity" for the Trump campaign for the past few weeks. A US law called the Hatch Act bans some White House employees - like her - from engaging in political campaigns. So her moonlighting role has already angered government ethicists and reporters.

White House reporters swiftly took to Twitter to point out that McEnany earns a six-figure salary from US taxpayers.

I guess that's why she fits in so well with Trump, totally willing to fleece the taxpayers.

From reading quite a few accounts of how counting is done, you would expect this to happen if the software was working as expected. All it means is that ballots were put through more than once (some states have a SOP to use batches and if one can’t be read they try again with the whole batch).

It's difficult. It's usually worded in the "we have reports" style, so as long as they actually have the reports, then OANN is mostly safe.

That's not a complete defense, though. If Dominion could show that they acted with reckless disregard for the truth, there could be a case. It's tough. They would have a lot of high hurdles to cross to actually win any sort of libel suit.

Latest Count

President Elect Joe Biden 77,745,314

Ex President Donald Trump. 72,452,990

Margin of victory. 5,292,324

And still counting.

Well, he did hire Kris Kobach to produce...nothing!

And blamed that on " many mostly Democrat States refus[al] to hand over data from the 2016 Election to the Commission On Voter Fraud." Imagine that, the GOP, party of "states rights,"

...asked for “publicly available voter roll data.” However, the letter also requested a lot of specific details, including: parts of Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses and information regarding felony convictions or military status.

...and got, from the "mostly Democrat" state of Mississippi (), for example, this-

Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, a Republican, suggested the commission “go jump in the Gulf of Mexico.”

Since the standard of evidence seems to have been reduced to “whatever someone posts on a website” I suspect they will be able to say their source was the cat meowing when the name Dominion was mentioned and be covered!

.....
It's true that there's no law requiring a president to let his successor have access to the intel, but it's a pretty strong tradition based on pretty strong reasons. And, look...somebody's got to read that briefing- it's not like Trump does.

Actually the Presidential Transition Act does require that the President-elect receive classified information. The issue here is that the Trump-appointee GSA head refuses to trigger the law.
On the day following the election, GSA begins to provide office space and support services to the president-elect and Vice President-elect, with support continuing up to 60 days after inauguration
A classified summary regarding national security is given to the president-elect as soon as possible after the election

The cat was a Changeling!

You should have never let Billy Joel near you with his dong if you didn't want it . . . wait, maybe I'm reading this wrong.
Yes, only autocorrect could take the four letter “song” and replace it with the five letter “doing”.
No matter, I forced out Joel with Pailhead. Thanks Ian and Alien!

Kaylee Macaninny works for Trumph "in a personal capacity," does she? Yeah, he likes 'em blonde and slack-mouthed.

And I admit, if she'd discuss her personal capacities with me over a bottle of chilled Pinot Grigorieva and a dish of bar nuts, I might find some tolerance in my heart.

I said HEART, and nowhere else. Shame on your dirty mind.

It's rather like giving someone a Christmas present you received last year but you forgot to take the tag off with your name on it 'love from Aunty Hermione', so they know that:

  • you are cheap
  • you are nasty
  • you are insincere
  • you are pifflicatling peppiffeil

Your hastily added, 'Congratulations on your historic achievement, Kamala Harris' with no hint as to what that 'historic achievement' could be is the height of carelessness and bad manners. Maybe Harris won Skating on Ice or managed to to be the first to launch her pet gerbil into space, whereas in the original message, Trump is congratulated in achieving 'your second term'.

So, sadly, likely the unwanted gift from Aunty Hermione, Johnson's 'warm congratulations' ends up in the equivalent of a top dusty shelf behind the hideous vase from Uncle Jehosophat, in the 'recycle folder' - or worse, marked 'spam' - never to be touched, looked at or opened ever again.
