The Cook Political Report moves the South Carolina Senate race from Lean Republican to Toss Up. :eye-poppi
While South Carolina is certainly redder than its border states Georgia and North Carolina — two other Sun Belt states that have seen more rapid demographic and urban/suburban shifts than South Carolina — that doesn’t mean there aren’t underlying shifts here as well.
...
Ultimately, this race has earned a more competitive rating — underscoring just how fast the GOP majority is slipping away if they have to defend turf like this, and also how much Trump’s numbers have fallen across the board. We are moving South Carolina from Lean Republican to Toss Up.

The Minnesota 2nd District Congressional Race is being delayed until next year after a 3rd party candidate has died.

Adam Weeks, 38, was a farmer running under the Legal Marijuana Now Party against freshman Democratic Rep. Angie Craig. Minnesota has a state law requiring a delay of election of a candidate dies with 79 days of the election.

Minnesota's 2nd District is considered a tight race between Craig and Republican challenger Tyler Kistner.

A federal judge has put the #mn02 election back on track for November, granting an injunction for Angie Craig against enforcing a Minnesota state law that would have pushed race to February.

Apparently Graham also illegally begged for campaign money beside shamelessly declaring how much anti-abortion he is while at the hearing. They know Barr won't investigate these violations.

Respect for the North Caroline GOP chair who finally has had enough: family values are after all everything for the GOP.

"It’s time for Trump to either start providing North Carolinians with straight answers on his extramarital affairs or suspend his campaign.”

ETA: sorry, misspelled that. Not Trump, Cunningham. My bad

Senator John Cornyn

More California money flooding in for MJ Hegar. That is on top of the $15 million NY Senator Schumer has bankrolled. They will soon learn that a Texas Senate seat is not for sale. #NotOnMyWatch

They bought my vote. I don't know if it will be enough, but it is nice to see Cornyn being lambasted for his association with McConnell and Trump in TV ads.

So what's going on with this? Dems picked up a couple seats in the Senate, Reps picked up a few in the house, but nether enough to change the general landscape. Other than Missouri sending their first black woman to the house, anything of note?

Georgia is looking like (most probably) going to run-offs in both of their elections.

How hard is it to renounce socialism if you really don’t believe in it?

The reason she can't renounce it is because the mainstream of her party — deep in their soul — backs socialism.

Nancy Pelosi refuses to denounce socialism as she seeks another term as speaker

AZ President:
Joe Biden: 1,645,586
Donald Trump: 1,630,700
Diff: 14,886 for Biden

This is after Mondays dump of >6K ballots
Joe Biden: 3056
Donald Trump: 3196
Diff: 140 for Trump

There are about 38,000 votes left (mail in and provisional). at 140 votes per 6K, no way Trump can catch up.

AZ Senate:
Mark Kelly: 1,689,026
Martha McSally: 1,607,619
Diff: 86,407 for Kelly

McSally hasn't conceded. Still following Trump's lead.

The two R's in Georgia are calling for the Secretary of State to resign before their runoffs, he being guilty of the heinous crime of accurately counting votes.

Cunningham has conceded to Tillis in North Carolina, leaving us at 48-49 Republican Majority.

With Alaska almost certainly going Red whenever it gets around to finishing counting, that means the Dems will have to take both Georgia seats to get to the 50/50 split with VP Harris as the Tiebreaker.

Oh cool, extramarital affairs spoil a campaign again.

Since the U.S. is about to go into a run-off election over 2 senate seats in Georgia, this seemed rather relevant...

From: The Daily Beast
Right before he was put in charge of a powerful Senate subcommittee with jurisdiction over the U.S. Navy, Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) began buying up stock in a company that made submarine parts. And once he began work on a bill that ultimately directed additional Navy funding for one of the firm’s specialized products, Perdue sold off the stock, earning him tens of thousands of dollars in profits.

Shady financial trades should harm is run for the senate, although I suspect republican voters probably won't care much (since such things only matter if Democrats do them) especially since Purdue has engaged in those type of trades before.
