2020 Presidential Election part 2

Yeah, but those are just facts, figures...simple statistics. Hercules doesn't care about any of those things, his argument is based on simple incredulity, with no basis for comparison with his preferred alternative by which to judge which is more credible. It's like the 9/11 CTist- "19 cave-dwellers hijacked planes with box-cutters and defeated the most technologically advanced nation in the world? Totally legit..." Or the average creationist- "molecules just assembled themselves into intelligence? As if!" In either case (because, as I've said before, religion is just the ultimate CT), no thought is given to offering an alternative that doesn't equally strain real-world credibility. In this case, what's Hercules's preferred scenario? Apparently, that the Biden Machine was able to manufacture from nothing that record-making number of votes without leaving one bit of evidence for the conspiracy except the seamless success of it. The devil is in the details because god/the conspiracy needs no room for them, he/it fills up all the spaces necessary for simple belief.

These guys aren't baffled by simple math so much as they just deny any place for it.

Remember: Herkaleez thinks that Trump should have won because more Trump supporters drive around with Trump flags on their trucks.

You never see any Biden supporters doing that, so they must not exist

According to the BBC the Trump campaign was due to hold a press conference in Philidelphia at 11:30 AM, the networks called the election five minutes before that.

Thank God it's finally over! Those were some long, long four years, but they're over!

If America now wants to come sit at the table of the Free World again, they are welcome.

NBC also.

ETA and ABC now. cue Trump explosion in....

I must admit to being fascinated by this network "calling it" phenomenon. I've watched it all my life, and I sort of get it, but it really is kind of weird.

Last night, I heard Biden say that he might talk to us again tomorrow (i.e. tonight, he said it yesterday) and I read that he was waiting for a more positive statement until the networks called it, and I even read that he was in contact with the networks asking them to call it.

It's still unofficial, and network announcements are nothing. I assume that the Biden camp has their own number crunchers and at some point they told Vice President President-elect Biden that there was no chance that he would lose. I don't know when it happened, but probably some time Thursday or Friday.

Even in this post-television world, I guess people still don't believe it until they see it on television.

Well, whatever. Anyone with any savvy that can run a spreadsheet is saying that Joe Biden is the next President, so congratulations to him, and congratulations to America for making the right choice. It was a bit rocky, but the result will still be the same.

And I hope that four years from now, I'll still be happy with the choice, and the great thing about democracy is that if the country isn't happy at that time, we don't have to keep him.

IT'S A GREAT DAY FOR AMERICA!!!

Treason, racism and corruption have suffered a stunning defeat and Americans have given a great victory to the rule of law.

Packets of cigarettes have fewer warning labels than the president’s tweets

All of the UK press are now announcing Biden has won.

It seems a bit early yet, is this a case of putting as much pressure on Trump to just accept defeat?

AP just called Pennsylvania for Biden.

This was the key. The gap in Pennsylvania is now 34K, which means it will be >0.5, and will not trigger an automatic recount.

Once PA hit that threshold, it can be called and it has been by everyone but Fox.

Nah, Biden passed the recount threshold in PA and given the way the votes left there are expected to break that triggered the call.

I laughed out loud when I read that.

You know, the networks really are biased against Trump, as they should be.
