2020 Presidential Election part 2

I wonder whether spending months telling Trump supporters to vote in person and not by mail might have something to do with the fact that main-in votes favour Biden more than in-person votes do?

Yeah, but then the in-person voting wouldn't have been as lopsided.

The votes are the votes.

If they would have just allowed mail-in votes to be counted ahead of time, this would have all been done days ago. We would have known that Biden won Pennsylvania on Tuesday. Georgia, maybe not.

I keep thinking there is really no one other than the Trump family and a few diehards like Giuliani who are heavily invested in indulging all of Donald's whims. .

I agree. There are actually a lot of Republican politicians who would not support going to the SC to get this all overturned. They recognize that questioning the legitimacy of our elections in that way would turn us into a 3rd world republic.

It doesn't take much integrity to say, no, that's not how we do it. It takes no integrity to support it.

One way to stop it all would be at the lower court level. With sanctions for frivolous lawsuits against the lawyers.

This. The Supreme Court might well decide simply to not hear the case, defacto upholding the lower court rulling.

Biden is currently ahead, and yet there is no rioting, looting, or videos of unhinged crying from Trump supporters-

This surprises nobody. One political party has a culture of psychotic childish outrage when they don’t get their way-

The other goes to court. Civilized.

I think there will be no recount in PA. It seems like the seal on the deal.

Biden's lead in PA has grown to 0.3% (20K)

I don't know the automatic recount threshold for the Commonwealth. I know Wis is 0.25 and Georgia is 0.5

If there was a legitimate court challenge out there, they would be doing it instead of the stupid crap they have been losing.

I think you're absolutely correct. All they have in front of them is more opportunity to look like fools.

Well that is a cognizant point. But there are quite a few other groups that typically vote Republican and did not this year, after Trump pooped on them too.

For example in my case the rural vote which almost always votes Republican bailed in large numbers. Not completely, but enough in a few critical states to prevent re-election.

And both parties ignored Libertarians, even though they got more than enough votes to sway the election either way. I saw a great comment about that too.

You are not entitled to Libertarian votes

Hey Red Baron. Don't agree with your post ...but welcome back. I would love to chat with you about agriculture some time. I want your opinion on a few things.

Trump legal-challenge fundraiser has some fine print

President Trump is racing to raise money for an “official election defense fund.” But the fine print on the solicitations tells a different story: Half -- or more -- of any contribution will be used to retire debt from his re-election campaign.

With Democratic nominee Joe Biden ahead in several battleground states as the vote count continues, the Trump campaign is filing lawsuits in at least four states, including Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Starting early Wednesday, the campaign and the Republican National Committee have been sending dozens of daily text messages and emails saying they need financial support to challenge voting procedures.

“We must PROTECT the Election!” says one campaign text Friday signed by Mr. Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. “My father’s calling on YOU to help bolster our critical Election Defense Fund.”

Clicking through to the donation page, potential givers can review a disclaimer that 50% of any contribution will be used for general election campaign debt retirement and 50% for the campaign’s recount account.

Other Trump fundraising pitches in recent days ask for help to “protect the integrity of this election” but lead to a donation page for Mr. Trump’s “Make America Great Again” committee. The fine print on those solicitations says 60% of a contribution helps the campaign retire debt and 40% goes to the Republican National Committee.

Glub glub glub

No secret that behind closed doors, when they had a drink or two, quite a few GOP congreeman have blasted Trump. I think he has very few loyal followers in congress, but alot congressmen who kiss his butt to get reelected while despising the man.

Biden is still ahead in all 4 states, and it is only in Arizona that Biden has seen his percentage go down today as more votes come in.

But people in the know say that it's not coming down fast enough given the areas from which the ballots are coming. Like when they come from big Trump areas and he's only getting 52%, that's not enough to catch up. In PA when ballots are coming from Biden areas, they come in at 80%.

I vehemently agree.

Tom Cotton has been quietly biding his time in the shadows. And he's a nasty nasty piece of work, a warmongerer who's not afraid to flip the chess board and move the goalposts to fulfill his military fantasies.

And he's smart. Like scary smart. He's the disciplined patient guy crouched down in the shadows, nobody taking notice of him, waiting for the perfect time to pounce.

With that in mind, yeah... he's a scary piece of work to have as opposition.

I don’t know if anyone can inspire the turnout that Trump does.

They predict the PA lead for Biden will be 50K+, which should obviate any questions if it happens.

Projections had Biden taking AZ by 30k. Confident enough to call it for him. It’s expected that his lead will shrink.

Republicans: “We can’t let Biden win!”

Democrats: “We can’t let Trump win”

Libertarians: “Makes zero difference to us. These men both are both unprincipled, morally compromised, big government loving authoritarians. If Biden wins, if Trump wins, end result will be the same.”

Well then don't be a huge ******* childish baby of a selfish psychopath and think about people other than yourself.

Look beyond the God damn ******** end of your nose and realize that for all the stupid, inane "Wah both old white men are the saaaaaaaame!' emo Edge-Lord ******** Trump or Biden being in power makes a huge difference to other people.

**** this "It doesn't affect me" crap. Middle finger, middle finger, middle finger, middle finger, middle finger.

Yeah, if you think Biden and Trump are the same, you are a moron.

Or Libertarian.

Same diff.
