So... are the rats going to start deserting the sinking ship with a forced "Trump? Oh I never supported Trump I just got coffee, barely knew the guy..." affect or will they go down with the ship?

Mark my words. They will get a new haircut and a more palatable leader and be a problem far worse than they have been

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Trump's campaign in WI has desperately sought volunteers to call Pennsylvanians and urge them to mail in absentee ballots by Friday — even as the president himself rails against late votes and the ongoing vote count.
MJS said:
"This seems deeply stupid as it seems to be a solicitation to commit voter fraud," said Richard Hasen, a noted elections law specialist at the University of California, Irvine Law School. "It's hard to believe this is real."

Depends on whether they think there is still cheese available when that ship moves on to other waters. Trump will still be Trump. I don't doubt that he will still have rallies, if he can get the rubes to pay for them. I just don't know if they will be all about his skin care cream or his fashion line or his news network, but they will still be all about him.

Well, we know Bannon and Alex Jones are going down with the ship....

As I said above, I suspect we are going to see more of them saying how democrats have to be nice because .... snowflake or something.

How long until Trump tweets "WHere is Wenck? Where is Steiner?".

For those of you who have not seen "Downfall" do so. One of the best World War 2 movies every made.

For those who have not seen Downfall, see the two videos posted just this morning (although I think you have to go back a page or 2 to find them)

At some point, I'd like to see the subtitles with the original translation so I can see what it's actually about.

I always like the version where Hitler learns Orgo. I share the link with my students near the end of the first semester .... they get it.

"Get me the solutions manual...."

Bannon, Jones and the likes sailing on a different boat. They existed before Trump, they will probably do so after.

Disagreed. They don't care a whit about Trump, or politics. They care about a...certain agenda. Anyone could front for it.

His base should have rejected him right out of the gate. A spoiled rich boy who ducked the draft with daddy's influence, a proud deadbeat whose word means nothing, never worked a day in his life, no loyalty, basically no traits his base would respect.

But he bleated that certain something that struck a chord. They just need a slicker spokesman to push the same agenda.

Andrew Yang said this morning that Democrats need to do a better job of embracing working americans, and not come off as East Coast Elitists. Which is why all those rural folks in the midwest and west voted for Donald Trump, because, you know, he's not one of those East Coast Elitists..

Oh, I forgot to address this part. I wonder what that "certain something" he bleated that struck a chord could be?

Hmmmm, I wonder.......

He certainly was able to draw the support of racist ********, that's for sure...

Won't happen. The GOP will never agree. Why would they? When was the last time one of their candidates won the popular vote?
Bush in 88, also Reagan in 84

ETA: I take it back, Bush Jr. won the popular vote in 2004.

I think it is important to reiterate:

Trump is not the problem, he is the result of the problem.

Well, it's a vicious circle: he also makes the problem worse. Anyway, I gladly take this hard fought and costly victory even if it wasn't overwhelming. History is not a bed roses. This is a great win and I am rejoicing:)

I see almost no chance that Trump will ever admit he lost this election.

A friend on Facebook just suggested that "He'll just tell us all how [he] accepted it with grace, amazingly Presidential grace, like a really really good loser, the best good loser. No other President has ever lost like [him]."
