2020 Presidential Election part 2

If Biden only takes GA, it ends up tied in the electoral college, and the House of Representatives gives it to Trump.

Biden needs either Pennsylvania or any other two states.

CNN just said Trump can't afford to lose Georgia, but they also have him at 213 rather than the 214 others have him at.

ETA: Maybe three days of this has taken a toll on my mathing.

It's 253 Biden to 213 Trump.

Georgia has 16 votes -- if Biden takes that he goes to 269, he only needs one other state, and Nevada and Arizona are looking pretty good.

Right now he's 1902 behind with 99% of the votes in. Nail-biter.

"Poll watchers" are certified individuals and none have testified being denied any of their allowed access.

"Observers" are random members of the public and there's sensible reasons not to allow a loud crowd of "observers" into the heart of the electoral process to mill around. View blocking is to protect the identities of poll workers who don't want to get dragged into some internet cesspit to be doxxed.

Maybe so. Soon that will be answered. Videos will show up online.

I saw them on Fox, including cardboard put on the windows, blocking the view into the counting area. Probably nothing to worry about as all this is perfectly legal.

Interesting. I clicked on CNN's map. You're right, and the difference is Maine's second congressional district. CNN's Maine breakdown shows Biden 3, Trump 0. So, there's an extra outstanding vote on CNN's side.

"Maybe so" what? That wasn't an opinion he was sharing with you. It was a fact he was using to correct your intentional falsehood.

You can't go 2+2=5 and respond with "Maybe so" when someone corrects you.

Please list the official poll watchers who have been prevented from doing their job.

Random people don't have access to polling places for obvious reasons.

Just your reminder that Biden is over 4 million votes ahead of Trump overall. We're only doing this dance because of an outdated, undemocratic system.

If any of the people in that gaggle shouting outside the counting center have legitimate credentials and were denied access (under whatever protocol there is to do do), they should fill out an affidavit and get a lawyer.

A federal judge held a hearing today and the city and Trump campaign have already agreed to allow an expanded number of poll watchers access to sites.

This is a nothingburger.

Are you taking into account Biden's 1 EC vote from Nebraska?

Yes.

The easiest way to see it is that all the maps give Biden 253. He needs 17 to get to 270. Georgia has 16.

So, he needs one electoral vote from someplace that isn't Georgia. The 253 includes his Nebraska vote. It only includes 3 points from Maine.

Maybe CNN knows something we don't. I haven't seen any numbers from the presidential race in Maine's 2nd district.

Well, it has advantages. Like this states themselves choose how they select electors. It's not federal business. It's not Trump's business. PA can count votes any way they like.

Apparently Lindsey Graham just suggested to Hannity that the Republican State Legislature in PA could appoint its own slate of electors. The Legislature very quickly said that they would not.

It will be curious if a state that isn't Arizona gets called next and the roughly half the news sites that have already called Arizona for Biden have to decide whether or not to just call the election for them.

Uncalling a state that you previously called so that it didn't tip a candidate over 270 seems like it would just be... bad form news wise.
