Does America have referendums like us?

Where if you get a petition together with enough public signatures a question is put to the people.

In this case a change to the system.

(A bit like a mini election by popular vote)

If it wins and is binding things change.

Nope. Sounds like a lot of work.

I can't imagine the endless legal challenges to having national referendums in the US! There would be many challenges just on the referendum's wording on the ballot.

Trump is in the lead in Pennsylvania.
I'm going downstairs to get more chocolate milk.

In early voting my congresswoman is giving a good challenge the old fart that sat in the house 16 years and got 4 insignificant bills passed. My Biden vote will not count.

Calling Trump voters manipulated is a heck of a lot kinder to them than saying they're horrible people. Those are really the only two alternatives.

Time to lose your poo: The Predictit betting market has Trump at 77c to win.

Changed to 80c in the course of writing this. This is like four years ago.

All the time, but only at state level. We are voting on allowing betting at horse races. Last time we got medicaid expansion that that the governor resisted.

a net 5.7% average error in the Florida polls. :eye-poppi

I told you guys I thought the polls were BS.

Night is young, Trump may still lose this, but it's looking encouraging.

Trump is such a disappointment but if I get another hit of liberal anguish like I did in 2016, another harvest of that magnitude... it will be glorious.

There have been books written about people voting against their own best interests. It's a phenomenon not only in the Cuban community.

Hell, yes. There were women who thought they shouldn't be allowed to vote and gay people who thought same sex marriage shouldn't be made legal.

*quietly points at RW controlled media*
That would be talk radio, the only one of the media spaces (radio, print, OTA broadcast, cable and Internet) where the RW is dominant.
The only reason FauxNews has such commanding ratings is because they stand damn near alone for conservative cable viewers.
Poor radio reception in the heartland and "God's country" or anyplace rural, naturally is flooded by conservative voices (livin' the nightmare myself).

I left out sat radio out of ignorance on my part. But I suspect like online there's space for every opinion to be shouted. [emoji1]
