Cont: Biden for President? Pt 2

That's what kills me even more than the claim that some nefarious conspiracy intercepted the package en route. Their story hinges on shipping the one and only existing copy of this supremely important evidence across the continent without making so much as a photocopy of it. It's either a lie told by morons, or a lie aimed at morons.

So in this story there are some liars, and some morons, and some lying morons, and some moronic liars, and it's so hard to tell them apart.

I admit, I hate being in a situation where I just dismiss allegations out of hand. It makes it seem like a knee jerk protection of "my guy" when accused by "the other side". But with a story like this one, I don't see much choice. I can't make sense out of it, because on the surface it's just plain stupid.

Sometimes, I read news stories and figure that there must be something missing or distorted, because the story as presented could not possibly be true.

I saw a clip of Tucker talking about this incident.

Apparently, they want us to believe that there was a hard copy document which was quite damning of "the Bidens" (Why do I care if Hunter Biden is damned? But I digress.) but they dropped the one and only copy of said document into a FedEx package, but that package was secretly opened some time in the FedEx system, and its contents removed.

I must have missed something, because the real story can't be as stupid as what I just wrote, but that seems to be what I heard.

I didnt hear it that way but Tucker didnt provide extra details.

I took it that he was concerned that documents were pilfered en route to him. I am SURE there are copies of whatever was sent and that Tucker had them at the time even thought the first mailing went awry.

If it was original documents, they would have sent it by courier and not in an envelope. Not if it was truly a big deal. But we need to remember that Tucker is a TV personality and things are likely less important than he states.

It's not out of hand. There are a dozen reasons to dismiss the story. I don't need to list them.

I tried to put that interpretation on it, but if that were the case, I would have expected him to then share the contents of the documents from his electronic copies.

I haven't looked at times of various statements and interviews. Maybe it's yet to come.

Out of curiosity, have you seen Rudy Giuliani lose it on FOX news when the host compared his actions to Christopher Steele? This guys pompous absurd ******** really is obscene.

Btw, I have to say I have been reluctantly impressed by Biden. For a supposed gaffe-machine his campaign has been pretty flawless. Not spectacular but surefooted and calm. Almost like no-drama Obama :)

An awesome interview.

For what it's worth, I think that was Fox Business, which I think is a different outfit, with somewhat more credibility.

He assured us, though, that he would be getting those documents right to the host, complete with pictures of underage girls. (I don't think he said anything more specific about them.) And she can view them for herself, to which the host repeatedly replied that she would love to see them, but Rudy went back to being all huffy about things.

He used the word "defamed" a couple of times. I think he was trying to threaten her with a lawsuit. Good luck with that, Rudy.

He seemed pretty nutty.

It was nutty and funny. The FOX host loved it. She seemed to find Rudy's reaction quite humorous.

I thought his suggestion that he was "defamed" because the host suggested his "actions"was like that of Steele. It's laughable because the only person in that interview who may have committed defamation was Rudy as he called Steele "a criminal" To the best of my knowledge Steel has never been convicted of any crime.

Joe is supposed to be at a car rally in Tampa at 6:30pm.
Trump is also in Tampa for a rally, but earlier at 1:30pm

Should be interesting where the crowds go after the Trump rally.
I predict a lot of them (a mega crap load) will be outside the Biden one.

Do you (or anyone else here) have more information on what constitutes a "car rally" in this case? I very much doubt it's any sort of rally race, and more likely some sort of car show or an open cruise event. If that's the case, I'd really like to see how that goes. I know Joe is supposed to own a few classic cars, but I also know the vast majority of car enthusiasts are likely Trump supporters.

Car rally is just with people staying with their cars instead of seating or crowds.

eta: it's like the 'drive-in movie' of campaigning...except you can get out of the car.

Basically just an event with proper social distancing (using the cars to buffer) so it isn't a SuperSpreader event like all of Trump's rallies.

Also, the ability for viewers to avoid hypothermia when leaving the event when Trump decides stiffing bus companies is a totes awesome thing to do.

As much as I dislike Trump, the issue with the busses wasn't that they weren't paid. It was an incompetent level of planning and logistics. They paid for the busses, but didn't think about how the busses would actually be able to pick people up.

Thanks, I wasn't thinking about that version of "car rally", but it clearly makes more sense than what I was thinking.

You're saying Bobulinski is just flat out lying then??

Can you tell he is lying without even watching his video??

Yes, and yes. By reading the article below:

Tucker Carlson isn't lying, he's just comically ******* stupid.

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/202...ost-only-copy-of-documents-nailing-biden.html

Judging by that first photo of him in the piece, he may have forgotten that he hid the totally real incriminating document in his mouth.

Another oddity in the timing, as Andrew Prokop noticed, is that the star witness for Fox News and Trump, Tony Bobulinski, claimed he only came forward because he was outraged at the response to the New York Post story first reporting the email hacks. But Ben Smith reported in the New York Times that Bobulinski was working with Trump’s campaign to pitch the story to the Wall Street Journal, before they settled for giving it to the New York Post. (The Journal duly reported that they had no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden.)

It's an omen!

* Remembers this is a sceptics forum *

It's a meaningless coincidence!

Lol no, not an omen. I thought it was a gimmick by the campaign.

But it's just building 46 of Broward College, Coconut Creek, Florida.

I think its common for the Democrats to use 'drive in' rally events. Both Harris and Obama have used them too.

See: AP News CBS Local News

You don't get as many people they would if they held a regular political event, but it at least allows the candidate to make an appearance (hopefully getting the appropriate media coverage in the local news outlets) while keeping the voters safe.
