@JoeBiden & Barack Obama killed the coal industry and if elected he will come after oil & gas!
@realDonaldTrump is a champion for ALL American energy https://nypost.com/2020/10/24/why-p...g-trump-even-though-he-didnt-bring-jobs-back/ #KAG2020

I know Rick Perry is an idiot, but even he must know that the coal industry was dying long before Obama was president. The coal industry/ employment has been declining since the 1980's. Oh, wait....I forgot: facts and truth don't matter in Trumplandia.

A Time reporter who spent weeks talking to Trumpers says that they consistently believe things that are false and dismiss things that are true. She called it "a sort of unlogic." When she gave them facts, they either didn't believe her or didn't care.

Unlogic is not ignorance or stupidity; it is reason distorted by suspicion and misinformation, an Orwellian state of mind that arranges itself around convenient fictions rather than established facts.

Nope, lines where I live (a well-built, well-financed suburb) are also short to nonexistant. It's usually a combination of state-level Republican control and local black or Native communities that lead to long lines, busted voting machines, and the like suddenly appearing - and this has been true for decades now.
This ^

Oh for sure. But if the mechanics of voting means that it takes 10 minutes to cast your vote even if there's no waiting whatsoever, I can see how a line can quickly build up.
If you know who you're voting for it's fast. If you're still reading the voters pamphlet for the down ballot choices when you get in the booth it can take longer (speaking from experience).

Joe Biden said he couldn’t get anything done during his last eight years because he had a Republican Congress.
@realDonaldTrump had a Congress that impeached him, yet he still rescued the economy,
That didn't need rescuing
rebuilt our military, created rising wages, and brokered historic peace deals.
And BS to the rest of the claims.

I disagree that it is not ignorance or stupidity. It is ignorance by choice. When they choose to live in a bubble of right wing media then they choose to know only one side. The facts are out there if they choose to look. That they choose not to is stupidity.

I know it's risky but I'm saying Biden will outperform the polls in Texas. There's a new voter factor there that the polling isn't capturing. Trump may have done what no Democrat has every been able to do, get the Texan Hispanic potential voters to the polls.
How do we know polling isn't capturing new voters?

President @realDonaldTrump: How can Biden make a deal with China when he’s taken money from them for himself? His son walked away with 1.5 billion dollars!

President @realDonaldTrump: The media asks Biden questions about ice cream, they don’t ask me questions like that!

This image shows early voting in the 18-29 age group this year compared to 2016 in three battleground states.

I know how badly people in my circles want Trump out. I don't see that kind of enthusiasm to keep Trump in.

I do hope the early turnout means something good.

How do we know polling isn't capturing new voters?

Polls are weighted based on what we "know" about the voting population. If historically younger voters don't vote and the polls are weighted to reflect that, then if younger voters suddenly turn up in big numbers the polls will have underweighted them.

Similar to what happened to non college educated voters in 2016.

Thanks. :)

I think Pennsylvania will go Biden safely but he'll probably match the polling data that exists now. Trump has a motivated base in Pennsylvania that will show up but there's a equally motivated anti Trump vote in the urban centers. Biden is three points ahead of where Clinton was at this point and she lost by a razor thin margin.

Biden will poll just fine in PA. But the Trump campaign is pulling out just about every dirty legal trick they can to make certain mail-in ballots are not counted. They've lost a number of them but also won a few.

Two days ago, Trump lost the attempt to reject ballots based on signature comparisons.

Five days ago, Trump lost an attempt to limit the time allowed to count mail-in ballots (counting starts on election day morning). (the Supreme Court was tied on this, letting previous ruling stand.). Trump is trying to get another ruling on this.

Six days ago, Trump lost the attempt to reject ballots received after the election (but postmarked prior to the elections).

In September, Trump won the case that allowed the rejection of 'naked ballots', i.e. mail-in votes that did not use the security envelope.

Enough of these tricks work and Trump can win PA, even if he lost by twice as much as he won in 2016.
