No. I was the teacher the other teachers used to send the kids they couldn't handle to.

I remember one new kid was sent to me (my sixth grade class). He came in kind of mouthy. One of my kids just said rather quietly, "Dude. You don't want to do that." I just looked at him with that teacher look. He sat down.

I can't see CE's posts...or rather, I have chosen not to see CE's posts. I only see them when quoted by someone else.

To put that number in perspective, that is more than the number of Americans that died on Omaha Beach on D-Day. And that is happening every single day under Donald Trump.
 
Again this has been the go-to tactic of Woo Slingers and Conspiracy Theorists for a while, we're just seeing it in more mainstream politics because Trump drug the worse qualities of internet discourse into the real world with his rise to power.

An intellectually dishonest new variation on JAQing off / push polling, hiding having an agenda behind controlling/complaining about "the topic."

Just like the God bothers never have (and never will) answered why they were looking for God under every rock and not an invisible dragon in my garage, we will not get an answer as to why the specter of ghost laptop and Hunter Biden must be analyzed like the Zapruator film while other far more disgusting and better supported wrong doings are ignored.

It's not really about Biden. But it shows what Biden and the public cannot and should not ignore. Any thread titled Biden for President shouldn't get bogged down on the candidates children. Biden needs to be elected because the alternative is more of Donald's incompetence.

The time is now to elect Joe Biden. Lives depend on it.

Quite a few less, I'd imagine. Don't ask me to nail down an exact figure.

And lest you think I am being partisan here, I will say that any of the other GOP candidates that ran in 2016 against Trump in the GOP primaries would have also done a better job dealing with the virus. He has failed at almost every level and even managed to catch it himself.

I'm seeing 1140 in the US yesterday, with a total of 1362 between Spain, France, UK, Italy, and Germany. Though those countries in Europe combined have about the same total population as the US does.

On the other hand, it looks like 2400 Americans died on Omaha beach on D-Day, out of only about 36,000 attacking.

Impossible to say. But my guess, is much less considering Trump basically ignores it and mocks the scientists and governors who do take it seriously.

I get tired of the tendency to attribute all of the deaths from COVID to Trump, without any reasonable comparison to similarly-situated countries.

The experience in the US on a per-capita basis has been about the same as for Western Europe. Trump is a horrible poster-child for how to behave in a pandemic... but the virus itself has no political affiliation, and the spread of it is largely unrelated to what politicians say and how they behave.
