Cont: The Trump Presidency: Part 26

I fear Trump would thrive in Russia - plenty rich guys who will love to have a former President tell them all about US secrets.

I just checked. We do NOT have an extradition treaty with Russia so hiding from USA law there is possible. But does Putin want that albatross hanging over him 24/7? I would guess not.

Trump couldn't tolerate not being the big man on campus.

Not to overlook another aspect of Trumpism:

"News is “faked”; elections are “rigged”; a “deep state” plots a “coup”; Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died suspiciously in bed with a pillow over his face; aides of ex-president Barack Obama conspire to undermine foreign policy from a “war room”; Obama himself was a Muslim mole; the National Park Service lied about the size of the crowd at the president’s inauguration; conspiracies are afoot in nearly every department and agency of the executive branch, including the State Department, the CIA, the Justice Department, the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI (“What are they hiding?”). Thus saith, and maybe even believeth, the president of the United States."

Don’t forget the National Hurricane Center (NHC). They’re in on it too. They are the ones that tricked the president into saying Alabama. Those oceanic and atmospheric guys are always pulling that kind of ****.

"49]I just checked. We do NOT have an extradition treaty with Russia so hiding from USA law there is possible. But does Putin want that albatross hanging over him 24/7? I would guess not.

Putin would love to take him. He’d then trot Trump out before his friends and say “dance, monkey, dance.” Plus it’s a great PR coup: “America is so corrupt that it’s presidents Have to flee the country.

The weird part would be all the USSS agents that would follow him over there.

Why is nobody getting the FBI to say there is no computer? All they will say is that they cannot comment on an ongoing investigation.

No, just no. Maybe only because it involves "laptop" and "FBI". That's as far as the similarities go.

The FBI does, as a matter of principle, not say anything about this sort of thing.

They don't even say there is an investigation. FBI policy is to neither confirm nor deny that there is an investigation.

And yet it's being reported that the FBI has the laptop and is not investigating Biden, they are investigating Russian meddling in the election.

I'll have to look around for the source of the information.

You'll find that it's not the FBI itself confirming they have anything. It's the guy from the MAC shop, the NY Post, various news media, etc.

That's not what I read. I'll have to go find it.

So your issue is pedantry and you're annoyed I read something else into your comment?

You could just say that without the disdain.

Let's take a look at how this started. Pedantry had nothing to do with it.

1) Tero asked why the FBI will not comment on if there is no computer and why they cannot comment on an investigation.

2) You replied that the FBI will not say anything as as a matter of principle.
3) I replied that it is a matter of FBI policy to neither confirm nor deny an investigation.

4) When I pointed out that it wasn't the FBI that said they were investigating it, but the media, the guy from the shop, the pundits, etc. you said that's not what you read and presented an article that read the "FBI is 'reportedly' investigating" thus proving my point.

5). When I pointed that out, instead of accepting that you replied "Well obviously it is 'reportedly'. That is standard news lingo." You completely ignored the entire point that the FBI has not confirmed that they are investigating the matter because their policy, not principle, is to neither confirm nor deny an investigation which was the entire point of our exchange. And then you accused me of pedantry. So, yeah...I am a bit disappointed that you get so defensive about something so trivial.
ETA: It wasn't disdain as much as disappointment.

The Democrats, and their media sycophants, absolutely KNOW Biden is an active national security threat to the US.
They just don’t care. #FACT

Joe Biden has multiple homes, access to private planes, domestic staff. Now we know how he managed to afford all that after 40 years on a government salary! #CrookedJoeBiden

The “big guy” splitting the loot with bag man Hunter Biden was indeed his father Joe!

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that the Senate will vote Wednesday on the coronavirus relief proposal crafted by Republicans, in addition to a separate vote on additional funding for a program to aid small businesses on Tuesday.

Chad Pergram
@ChadPergram
McConnell says Senate coronavirus bill includes
•More federally-expanded unemployment benefits for laid-off Americans
•An entire second round of the Paycheck Protection Program to save workers’ jobs at the hardest-hit small businesses

Who in their right mind would toss their ballot into one of these obviously insecure cardboard boxes? Might as well throw it in a garbage can.

A Republican in California, knowing their vote for Trump would be wasted?

But if they do use one of those, they can then complain about it being lost and attempt to discredit the election

Failed ObamaCare cost the average American family $5,000 more per year -over doubling our healthcare insurance costs AND canceled 35 Million American’s policies Obama’s 'Affordable' Care Act Greatly Increased Premiums & Lessened Choice See ObamaCare study:
Yes, It Was The 'Affordable' Care Act That Increased Premiums
It turns out that across the board, for all ages and family sizes, for HMO, PPO, and POS plans, premium increases averaged about 60% from 2013, the last year before ACA reforms took effect, to 2017....

I think Biden’s exact words were:
“I don't want to defund police. I want to get police more money in order to deal with the things they badly need from making sure they have access to community policing, that they have also in the department's social workers, psychologists.”

Very proud of the @nypost, my former “hometown newspaper”. They have said and shown what everyone knows about Sleepy Joe Biden. He is a CORRUPT POLITICIAN!!!

Joe Biden is a corrupt politician, and everybody knows it. Now you have the proof, perhaps like never was had before on a major politician. Laptop plus. This is the second biggest political scandal in our history!

Ron Johnson is on Fox News suggesting there's child pornography on the computer that purportedly belongs to Hunter Biden

"Reliable Sources" just finished on CNN and they did a great job covering Fox News's coverage of the laptop non-story. The Trump campaign needed another e-mail scandal story and low and behold, Steve Bannon and Giuliani came up with one.

I doubt he actually knows many secrets. From all accounts, he never pays attention to his briefings.

I wonder how people can resist feeding Trump false information just to see him a) fall for it, and b) blab it to the Russians, and c) Tweet it to the entire planet. If I were an Military Commander Man at the White House, I'd mention in passing "Yes, sir, the new hydrogen-filled stealth zeppelins are working well, we've got them orbiting the North Pole to collect the broken-off pieces of the ozone layer with their sonic lasers" and see how long it took it get out. Ten minutes? I suppose it hinges on how soon Trump needs the toilet.

If there is, I expect the guy from the computer repair store is going to have some explaining to do.

Does it mean that Rudy has been sitting on a hard drive full of child porn for however long he had it?
Not sure that is something they want to be claiming.
