That he's recovered is precisely the claim that is in question. It's possible that aggressive treatment has masked his symptoms temporarily. Remember the timeline of Herman Cain's illness. It took a month for the illness to kill him and he claimed to feel better along the way.

I'm not sure he's doing that great. The facade he puts on claims so.

But yes, I do think the treatment he got, in particular how very early in his disease made a big difference. We know that from other antivirals: treatment for HSV and for influenza both for example, works remarkably better if started within the first 24 hours of symptom onset.
