Riots, looting, vandalism, etc.

Crimes for which he should be charged and tried.

.

I thought the punishment was being shot in the back by a cop?

If having a knife in your car gets you shot 7 times what does running around the streets after murdering two people with a rifle?

White kid with rifle in Kenosha = vigilante.

Black men with rifles in Louisville = militia.

Yes, that is correct because the black militia members did not engage in vigilantism. The white kid in Kenosha did.

Jacob Blake’s mother says she has ‘utmost respect’ for Trump after revealing she missed his call

The Independent UK said:
Julia Jackson, the mother of Wisconsin man Jacob Blake, who was shot several times by police on Sunday, says she has the “utmost” respect for president Donald Trump as she apologised for missing his call.

“And then also, for president Trump, I’m sorry I missed your call!,” Ms Jackson told CNN in a press conference on Tuesday. “Because, had I not missed your call maybe the comments you had made would have been different. I’m not mad at you at all. I have the utmost respect for you as the leader of our country.”

It is unclear what comments Ms Jackson was referring to. The president has yet to comment on the shooting of Mr Blake, which took place in front of his three young children.

However, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr on Monday drew attention to Mr Blake’s prior criminal convictions when he retweeted a post by a right-wing commentator.

During Tuesday’s press conference – the first Ms Jackson and her husband Jacob Blake Sr have given since white officers shot their black son several times – repeated their calls for calm after another night of unrest in Kenosha.

The pair said they had been praying for police officers and denounced the violent scenes that had been taking place across the city since Sunday’s shooting. “Please, don’t burn up property and cause havoc, and tear your homes down, in my son’s name”, Ms Jackson told reporters.

An emotional Blake Sr said his son was shot like “he didn’t matter”. “They shot my son seven times, seven times like he didn’t matter,” he said. “But my son matters. He’s a human being and he matters.”...

I like how someone saying something nice about Trump is considered newsworthy.

Only after you:

Show up at your girlfriend's house when you are not supposed to be there and are threatening enough to have her call 911.

Have your scared girlfriend inform law enforcement you have an outstanding felony warrant while they are in route.

Resist arrest.

Physically fight armed police officers.

Resist arrest after being tasered.

Ignore lawful commands of two police officers you just physically fought and who are now pointing guns at you.

Try to enter your vehicle while being restrained by one of the officers who is now pointing a gun at you after fighting him.

If having a knife in your car gets you shot 7 times what does running around the streets after murdering two people with a rifle?
We're fixin' to find out.

And what happened in the moments that lead to what we see in the videos?
I'm not sure, but I have a hard time imagining anything that would justify a 36-year-old man chasing a 17-year-old up a street and across the parking lot. Maybe the 17-year-old stole his wallet???
Or maybe Rosenbaum was still seeking the fight he was looking for earlier.

Do you have all the evidence? Or is this a special case where all you need is a minute or two of out of context video footage?
No. And I base my opinion on the evidence I've seen so far, I have no problem changing my it if more evidence is brought forward.

Such a shame he chose to throw it all away to become a criminal.
On this we agree.

Tucker Carlson carrying water for a murderer on primetime TV.

In a strange twist that shocked the world, law and order advocates are on-board with vigilantes killing protesters.

Makes sense. Tucker Carlson's a white nationalist who ultimately wants the US to be for white people only, much like Dolt 45, and quite a few of the white power squad here that some folks insist on engaging with (I get the need to correct the record, by the way - plus I get to ignore the xenophobes 99% of the time). It's only natural for them to rush to defend a right wing racial terrorist - Fox and Klan go hand in hand.

None of which warrants seven slugs in the back. It warrants a baton upside the head, maybe, or a variety of other actions. Not summary execution

Thank you for acknowledging your ignorance.

Your argument from incredulity aside, it seems strange that you feel comfortable drawing conclusions from a place of professed ignorance.

No. And I base my opinion on the evidence I've seen so far, I have no problem changing my it if more evidence is brought forward.

You don’t think waiting until all the evidence is available would serve you better?

On this we agree.

And like you’ve previously expressed, bad things happen to you when you choose the life of a criminal.

I guess I’m just not clear on why this particular criminal has your support.

Manipulated video of the first murder by the Kenosha shooter is making the rounds. Video footage has been edited to include a molotov cocktail being thrown, when the reality is that it was a harmless plastic shopping bag that was very much not on fire.

Did someone determine what was inside the plastic bag? It was heavy enough to be thrown some distance and can be seen on the ground as something red inside but it is too blurry to see.
I have not heard it reported.

How did the militia members in Louisville get people shot?

3 members of armed militia injured in shooting at Breonna Taylor protest
Today, shortly before 1:00 pm, three people were struck by gunfire as the result of a discharge of someone's gun who was participating in the NFAC demonstration at Baxter Park," Louisville Metro's interim Chief of Police Robert Schroeder said in a statement. "Louisville Division of Fire and LMEMS arrived a short time later and transported all three victims to the University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All involved are members of the NFAC and there are no outstanding suspects."

LARPing is a dangerous game

It appears the officer made a judgment to use lethal force, after nonlethal force failed, to prevent Jacob from potentially retrieving a weapon from his vehicle. Considering he admitted that there was a knife in his vehicle, the officer was correct.

He wasn't executed.

LARPing is a dangerous game

The LARPing does seem to be a big draw. And the internet feedback.

I wonder what would happen if the area of a protest that has nightly destruction and violence was suddenly left without internet access to stream anything. Just jam it. Go all chinese on them for a night or two.

Phone and emergency would still work.

Would it make a difference? I think it would.

Both are LARPers getting innocent people shot.

Stop the boat for a second.

What does LARPing mean, again? Back in the day it referred to Nordic teens running around in costumes in the woods, playing a kind of improv Dungeons&Dragons. Then it seems to be applied as a kind of defense of the more slimy and despicable conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones, as in, "oh, they're just creating this fantasy world for themselves, they don't actually mean what they say", as if they made up horrible lies about victims of terrorist attacks and school shootings just to pass the time wih their buddies, like when teens in the woods pretended to be elves hunting trolls.

Now you're apparently "Live-action role-playing" [if you] shoot black people in the streets.

Did you mean to use the term very sarcastically/satirically, or is there some other meaning here I don't get? I take it my interpretation above is completely wrong?

Seems to be a pretty significant distinction between these groups. Protesters range from people wanting to wave signs and shout at the cops to arsonists and brick throwers. For all the damage done to property and violent skirmishes, it doesn't really seem like there is much an effort from the protesters to actually kill anyone.

Militia types, on the other hand, attend heavily armed for the sole purpose of confronting the protesters. They seek out scenarios in which they can kill people. The initiate confrontations that even the cops deem to be too risky and against the public interest.

Armed militia types are the most likely non-police actors out there that might end up killing someone, and yet cops treat them as pseudo-official allies. Makes you really wonder about the discretion of the cops when they consider teenagers enforcing their amateur understanding of the law at gun point a positive addition to a riot.

I missed this post earlier.

I lived in LA during the riots. When police do not or can not protect, someone fills the void.
We had 'roof Koreans" at that time.
This is something similar but more 'numbers' of both sides, by the nature of our ability to communicate widely. Teams show up, posture, yell, and destroy. And sometimes it ignites to worse- like in Kenosha. Still we do not know why the guy was being chased at the start but maybe we will learn soon what sparked it.

There are about 30 other deaths in all these riot areas over the last 3 months, right?

I dont know much about them other than the stat. I do recall the retired police captain gunned down at one of the first riots. The others arent really mentioned.
