Cont: The Trump Presidency: Part 24

Biden SHOULD agree to it. It's just Trump trying to create an excuse to get out of the debate.
Not going to make a long-term avatar bet, but I figure there's no way Trump will participate in a debate under any circumstances, drug test or no.

There are going to be so many books about the Trump administration written in the years to come trying to explain what the hell happened. I don't know what genre they will fall into: non-fiction or horror.

Mr. Projection strikes again.

Of course Biden won't agree to that. It's blithering idiocy.

The question is, would a drug test detect Sudafed?

There are different kinds of drug tests. If they administered the same kind of drug tests that Olympic athletes face, they would detect almost anything, including all the drugs that Trump has been suspected of using. Maybe Biden should agree, provided that the test is administered by the FBI. I'll bet Trump would scream "deep state" and back out quick.

The second one, in particular, is interesting. However, I wonder how much contradiction one would find by going over 12 years of MSNBC. My bias is a lot less, but it is ... well, a bias.

The difference is that Fox has an indisputable agenda. MSNBC is still fact-based. They don't promote outright lies.

"I am being accused of needing drugs to appear even remotely lucid when making extended public appearances. Although my malignant narcissism forbids me from extending a compliment to anyone unless it reflects even better on me, I am forced to admit that my opponent displayed a level of adroit statesmanship which is entirely out of my league. By the converse property of presidential debate, he must therefore have been on drugs."

:D

Translation: We're too lazy to bother training our staff on the very reasonable, basic regulations regarding the use of personal data belonging to Europeans. We're also going to continue using our cookies to steal as much private information as we can manage.

My yearly GDPR training happened a week ago. It took almost an hour to communicate this: Hey, *******, secure people's personal data when they give it to you and don't use it for anything without their consent. **** this up and the EU will have your ass!

Frankly, a US GDPR should be the first goddamn thing the Democrats do if they can get control of this government back. It won't happen, of course, corporate influence being what it is, but we need it badly.

When I did it last year It was over in about half hour. It literally is as you say it is. Don't leave customers personal info lying around, this is what happens if you screw up.

You have to read between the lines.

Donny's miffed because the fake news is reporting how great the Democratic Convention was including Biden's speech and the GOP Convention including Donny's performance isn't getting good ratings.

I don't really read US media so it's interesting to see comments like this, thanks.

Not much. Definitely nothing like that at Fox. For one reason, MSNBC doesn't report like that, more badmouthing than news or information.

Most of those false positives are with pee-in-a-cup screening tests. Actual lab tests done right can clarify true vs false results.
I'm fairly certain Presidential aspirants can handle that.

Slight derail, for us mortals, they usually use 2 specimen vials.

Many things can trigger an initial positive of the cheap screening test. The test that specifies the offending contaminant is much more expensive. Depending on the nature of the agreement (court ordered, employer mandated, whatever) one could potentially be told they must fork over hundreds of dollars to get them to open the second vial and run the expensive test to challenge an initial positive.

Hair tests detect narcotics for longer periods than blood or urine. Only the length of the hair limits the time the narcotic can be detected. Although it cannot be used to determine if drugs were ingested on that day, it can show past drug use.

The Biden campaign should respond like so...

We will not allow President Trump to worm his way out of the debates. It's important voters get a clear understanding of <boilerplate goes here>.

Accordingly, we agree to this absurd drug test. Because the president wants fairness, we're sure he'll agree to our requirements that: (1) the tests will be administered by the FBI (2) blood test and hair tests will be conducted, making it harder to cheat and (3) tests must cover <list of drugs Trump has been accused of abusing> and any other substance the Trump campaign deems important.

We also welcome a mental acuity test and a bike race.

Also a syphilis test, as Trump's mental craziness grows it makes the inherited syphilis theory look more likely.

Just looked over the old vs the new Rose Garden because I thought people were exaggerating how bad the new is.

Before and after photos of Melania Trump's Rose Garden renovation

Here Are The Before And After Photos Of Melania Trump's White House Rose Garden Renovations

She removed the majority of the blossoming trees, took out all the colorful tulips and put in a lot of white somethings, (roses I guess).

The photo from above makes it look as if the turf was taken up and relaid really badly. Not sure any of this is newsworthy (lady does gardening), but I’ve commented on it so I don’t get to judge.

Trump has probably never been on a bicycle, moving or stationary, in his life.

If she'd let it go to weeds, it wouldn't look much worse.

My take:
He's reacting to the criticism Donny Jr and Kimmy were high on drugs and maybe he's projecting a bit because he himself uses adderall to boost his brain. He probably expects Biden to laugh it off. Biden should go for it as long as adderall is included in the test and a neutral party runs the testing.

That makes sense (in as much as one can make sense of any of his thoughts, actions, and beliefs).

I think an even simpler reason is that he wants to plant as many rumors as he can. He knows these get spread all over that Facebook thing. I fear a measurable number of Americans get their news from their friends’ feeds.

And he knows that many of his followers will never stop to ask, “what drugs allow one to debate better? And why is it cheating to use them?”
