Hey, it's your own fault for being a foreigner!

They do it on purpose. They know hypocrisy triggers the Dems. It's not complicated.

And the deplorables cheer on the trigger-inducung hypocrisy, even though they themselves are directly impacted. It boggles the mind to contemplate how such mindless delusion and disconnection from reality can possibly exist.

If you call them I'm sure the will give you a quick summary over the phone.

That prosecution is going to fall apart, and the prosecutor has quite a few problems of her own.

Yes I know, Zig. Republicans respect the law right up until the point that they don’t agree with how it’s being applied to them.

Well, yes. How do you think this plays to people who consider their actions justified? Very differently than you see it.

These are the same people who think that 170,000+ Americans dying from a pandemic is acceptable. Why would I care what they think about anything?

She's Mary Ann Mendoza, a member of the Trump campaign’s advisory board.

Bravo I say. It warms the heart that the neo nazi community is now inclusive of Hispanics, or at least Hispanic surnames.

This is sad on so many levels. Let's be charitable, and pretend she didn't actually know about all the Nazi Trash. So what happened here?

Mendoza: Do yourself a favor and read this thread!

Everyone Else: Did you actually read that thread?

Mendoza: ........no.

Even with the most charitable interpretation, it still highlights exactly why these people are not fit to run the country.

Caring about what people think isn't how Republicans win elections. Cheating is how they win elections.

This seems like a really good example of what Ziggurat is saying. I am certain that Trump supporters will understand that statement completely differently to you, and I strongly suspect many independents may also. For people who are not already 100% convinced, picking the maximally uncharitable reading of every event and utterance can be a turn off.

The polling speaks for itself.

Outside of that, the turn ons of concern trolls isn’t of particular interest to me.

Believe me or don't. This isn't concern trolling. Your interpretation of that statement reads to me as at the border where uncharitable turns into dishonest. You don't see it that way, fine, but that is how it comes across to me.

And I hear Hillary has a >99% chance of winning in 2016.

Forget whether you win or lose the election though. Surely the more people who ally with you, or are at least sympathetic to you, the less resistance there is to getting things you want to do done.

I'm taking the liberty here of re-framing Zig's drivel into something that's actually spot-on:

Trump's followers are so racist, and so opposed to peaceful protest, and so generally unhinged, that showcasing these nuts might actually be effective.

I think you're hyperbolizing and demonizing for no real good reason here, varwoche.

Given the reports of violence, arson, and riots on TV - especially in this age of partisanly targeted news reporting - I'm not at all surprised that people might feel threatened by a crowd of protesters on their property. If a crowd of protesters had come across my property... I likely wouldn't have been outside, but I very likely would have been armed, just in case.

The most frustrating thing is that there's so much spin involved in every story, that you end up with news that's tailored to increase outrage. Media targeted to liberals will portray those two as psycho, racist, gun-nuts who are a threat to everyone and clearly unhinged. Media targeted at conservatives will portray them as upright citizens defending their home and their lives against an unruly mob of violent rioters.

Reality is most likely an older couple who are afraid that a protest could turn ugly (thanks media!), and want to prevent that from happening by making sure that the protesters are aware that they're armed. Not great, but not as bad as it got painted either.

You should care, because they vote. You should at least care enough to try to understand where they're coming from and what their actual worries and fears are, so that you can talk to them with the same consideration you give to other human beings instead of writing them off as sub-humans who don't count and are worthless in your eyes.

Trump Tweets

Just In: Chinese State Media and Leaders of CHINA want Biden to win “the U.S. Election”. If this happened (which it won’t), China would own our Country, and our Record Setting Stock Markets would literally CRASH!

The underlined (1): I've seen no evidence of that. They came unto a private street, but I highly doubt the MCloskey's themselves own the street. Paying into an HOA isn't ownership.

The underlined (2): They could've done that without pointing their weapons at people... her with her finger on the trigger I might add. Careless and idiotic. Before you think of me as an anti-gun liberal, know that I own an AR-15 among other guns. Their behavior is embarrassing and unnecessary.

And kept the guns pointed at the protesters in case they go off nothing you care about would get hurt. Brandishing is only a crime for blacks anyway. Responsible gun owners are allowed to point guns at who ever they choose with no consequence as I am sure you frequently do.
