Because over a few hundred people socialism only works on paper.
IMO... it can never work large scale as long as avarice is a fundamental part of many human's behavior. Show me one where bully boys didn't claw their way to the top to line their pockets. Then it gets nasty. [emoji20]

Are you doing that thing that some people do and using the word "socialism" when what you actually mean is "communism"?

Before serving as Florida’s first female Attorney General, @PamBondi spent 18 years as a prosecutor. She worked with President Trump against the Democrats’ impeachment hoax. And she knows how the Biden family profited off of Joe Biden’s name and influence for decades. #RNC2020

Nicholas Sandmann attended the 2019 March for Life, then became the subject of a left-wing media defamation campaign. @N1ckSandmann fought back against cancel culture and won. Now he stands with President Trump’s call for a return to fair and honest reporting. #RNC2020

Apparently, Tara Reade, who accused Biden of raping her, offered to appear at the RNC. She was not taken up on her offer. Wisely, they decide that was not a box they wanted to open when it comes to Trump.
I'm going to assume they're saving her for the presidential debates...

RNC Guest Speaker Abby Johnson supports One Vote Per Household, she tweeted in May that “In A Godly System, The Husband Gets The Final Say”

Household Voting, it's the only christian way if you follow biblical teaching apparently.

Given that support for the Republicans is higher among men than it is among women, I can see how they can get behind a message like that ;)

There was an ex-White House staffer who suggested a couple of days ago that Trump seriously asked if he could swap Puerto Rico for Greenland. He didn't want Puerto Rico because it was dirty and full of poor people.

Yes.
I figured “selling” was funnier than “bartering.”

True, but ... let them have it for GOP voters, anyway. Tell their women to stay home.

WH chief of staff Mark Meadows today on Trump:

“The president is not only well-prepared, but reads so much that it causes me to have to read many times well into the night to catch up with him.”

I'll never get how someone can give up a safe House seat to become ... this (whatever this is).

I have a guess. The House has 435 members so even those in relatively senior positions have considerable limits on what they can accomplish. Plus, they have to do painful fund raising 365 days a year. Now compare that to having A LOT of unfettered power to make things happen with no fund raising to boot. It must be a very powerful lure.

Consider Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III (:)). He had a guaranteed-safe seat and had been in the Senate for 20 years so had a lot of sway. He gave it up to be the AG.

There's another consideration Meadows may have had in mind.

A bit of history is in order. NC's 11th Congressional District had traditionally been a contentious and contended for one. Up until 2011, that is. That is when the NC legislature was taken over by Repugnicans, and they gerrymandered the 11th with surgical precision, making it into an overwhelmingly Repugnican district. Mark Meadows won his first election in the 11th in 2012.

He continued to hold the seat without difficulty ... until;

A panel of NC judges in 2019 found that the 11th had been illegally gerrymandered for partisan purposes, and demanded a new map. It was approved near the end of that year, and while still weighted noticeably in favor of Repugnicans it was no longer the utterly safe district for them that it had been since the 2012 election.

I'm sure that it is completely coincidental that Meadows chose to withdraw from the primaries shortly after that, just before the closing of the filing period for the primary ballots at the end of December.

So he wasn't really giving up much when, three months later, he took the job Trump offered. Leaving his seat in the House vacant. It isn't like one Repugnican vote there, more or less, would make much difference between then and next January, and he had already written off the coming election, so he had already planned to bail out.

What the widow of an assassinated president.... Hmm... I can see her wishing she was.
But then she would no longer be first lady. There is nothing she wants more than four years in that position. She may not love Donald but she very much likes her role.

A speaker has been yanked from the GOP convention for anti semitic blather. Her bullhorn was a tad bit too loud.
She's Mary Ann Mendoza, a member of the Trump campaign’s advisory board.

Mendoza said:
Do yourself a favor and read this thread.

The thread informs readers that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is not a fabrication. That the Rothchilds conspired to make the goyim destroy one another. That Hillary Clinton is a satanic high priest. That Obama's house reeks of sulfur.

Bravo I say. It warms the heart that the neo nazi community is now inclusive of Hispanics, or at least Hispanic surnames.

Does she?

Living life in a fish bowl, where everything she does is scrutinized by the media and she is often the source of mockery. Where she has no power, either directly or indirectly. (Other first Ladies had their little pet projects... Say. No to drugs, children's literacy, etc. Yet any attempt for Melanie to influence anything with her Be Best cyberbullying campaign is lost when stubby Mcbonespurs starts tweeting.)

I can imagine someone might not be too happy under those circumstances.

Plus I hear the white house is a real dump.

What happened? What made Lindsey Graham flip?

The PDJT obviously has something on him. Something most of us probably wouldn't even care about.

Greenland is actually poorer than Puerto Rico, and full of brown people as well.

I wonder if anyone bothered to tell Trump that

Edit, well not so full actually.
