You joke, but I wonder how much of this might actually be true. Does anyone know the number of people who voted this year vs. previous years? If a lot of people moved away from the GOP because they don't like the crazy direction it has been moving, that means there's a higher percentage of crazy people left in the group selecting the candidate. On the one hand, this is bad, because, well, crazy candidate, but on the other, it's good - it might reinforce the moderates' decision to back off from the party, and either not vote, or vote Democrat.

It may even be worse than that. Let's say that in July 3 million jobs were added but there were also 2 million new claimants - so only 1 million net new jobs. Pence will claim 3 million

I just turned on CNN radio and there seems to be a press conference with Trump, Jared Kushner and others celebrating the Middle East peace accords?

Jared and Donald Trump both said that the US is now energy independent and thus no longer dependent on oil from the Middle East. So we have that going for us, I guess.
