So Trump is counting jobs he's also refusing to fund?![]()
To quibble with this slightly and very likely unnecessarily - those new contact tracers look like new jobs to me.
....
Speaking at a news conference from his private golf club in the leafy New Jersey hamlet of Bedminster, the US president said the directives will extend federal unemployment benefits, defer payroll tax through the end of 2020 (“most likely” retroactive to 1 July), defer and forgive interest on student loans and extend moratoriums on evictions, defer student loan payments and extend the federal moratorium on evictions.
Word on the wire is that trump is planning to use EO's to get Covid relief through.
The budget for that position is there, but the budget for the HR personnel to select candidates was caught up in committee and they are currently furloughed...Contract Tracing jobs in my state were paying 21.28/hour if you could get past the screening test and training. My son passed all the gates but never got the final callback.
Trump again lied about signing the Veterans' Choice Act. Obama did that. When a reporter challenged him about that, he cut her off and left. He has repeatedly lied about being the one to get that through. What he did was sign an expansion of the VC Act but he continues to take credit for the full VC Act. Such a pathological liar.
He also lied about 'everyone' wanting the payroll tax cut. There is bi-partisan opposition to it. He just blatantly lies about everything.
Oww. He's gone from trying to undo Obama's legacy to taking responsibility for Obama's accomplishments? That has to hurt!
He's going to personally see that pre-existing conditions are covered by insurance. As required by Obamacare.
It has been reported that Louis DeJoy, the current Postmaster General under the Donald Trump administration, has floated a proposal to increase the price of postage for mail-in ballots from 20 cents to 55 cents. This is important not only because of the financial impact the increase could have on states and their voters, but also because it calls attention to the proposed spike in postage as a potentially unconstitutional poll tax.
According an article out in today’s New York Times about South Dakota’s governor Kristi Noem, the subject has been raised between the Trump White House and South Dakota:
After all, the president had told her in the Oval Office that he aspired to have his image etched on the monument. And last year, a White House aide reached out to the governor’s office with a question, according to a Republican official familiar with the conversation: What’s the process to add additional presidents to Mount Rushmore?
Payroll tax cut for those making less than 110K per year. That only helps people with a job. How does that help the unemployed who REALLY need help?
Said cuts would be permanent if re-elected. He's making this an election campaign rally. What else is freaking new?
The White House Has ‘Asked About the Process to Add a President to Mount Rushmore’
Gee, I wonder which president he has in mind.

I'll take it. Still won't vote for him. I'm sure he's going to pretend he gave us all money the Democrats refused to. Makes me wonder if this wasn't orchestrated by McConnell/Trump.
