I don't really get this argument. It's not even called Thailand in Thai, so how can he have pronounced it "in the Thai language"? And why did he choose this one country to suddenly start pronouncing it "their" way?

ETA: I just watched the video. He says Thighland, and then not even a second later he says Tailand. So which is it? Is he being worldly and broad minded and pronouncing it "their way" but still also saying it in English?

ETA2: Maybe Yo-Semite is how native Californians pronounce it?

ETA3: This just came to mind. Many of my Thai friends have studied English at university. They still have problems making the "th" sound in English.

It's pronounced with a hard 't' in the UK not a 'th' sound. He's talking bollocks...with a hard b.

Of course he should have. This is nothing like accidentally saying one word for another and then correcting yourself immediately. This is mispronouncing a word he was looking right at. A word that was not unknown to him.

Always nice to see Trump lose in court (although you figure with the Clinton precedent this should have been resolved a long time ago).

Sadly, its just a civil case, but hopefully it will dredge up more dirt on Stubby McBonespurs.

I keep wanting to make a joke about Trump, Thailand, Jeffrey Epstein, and the more notorious portions of Thailand's "tourism" industry, but nothing tasteful comes to mind.
 
I am doubtful if he had ever seen the word written down before. He had no idea that it was the same word as the cartoon gunslinger.

The more gaffes he makes the more he and his cronies will push Biden gaffes as the REAL story. He has always turned his crimes into baseless charges against the enemy. "Fake news" originally meant the Russian disinformation campaign that helped elect him. He masterfully took ownership of the phrase. His Russian entanglement was turned into a fake Ukrainian entanglement for Biden. If this rape case gets media traction get ready for the lecherously edited videos of Joe Biden to start rolling out.

Had a lengthy discussion this morning with President Macron of France concerning numerous subjects, but in particular the catastrophic event which took place in Beirut, Lebanon...

...At 3pm this afternoon, spoke to President Aoun of Lebanon to inform him that 3 large aircraft are on the way, loaded up with Medical Supplies, Food and Water. Also, First Responders, Technicians, Doctors, and Nurses on the way...

...We will be having a conference call on Sunday with President Macron, leaders of Lebanon, and leaders from various other parts of the world. Everyone wants to help!
