Its a district so red they keep electing the dumbest man in congress not named Steve King.
No worries, he'll take chloroquine and it'll fix him right up.
Just to be safe, maybe he should also inject some bleach.

As co-chairman of "Black Voices for Trump?" The choice seems inconsequential to me. Who's the other chair?

Wisconsin Gov Evers orders masks.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers on Thursday issued a statewide mask mandate amid a spike in coronavirus cases, setting up a conflict with Republican legislative leaders who oppose such a requirement and successfully sued earlier to kill a “safer at home” order.

Idiot WI Supreme Court will knock this down.

Vanity Fair, "How Jared Kushner’s Secret Testing Plan “Went Poof Into Thin Air”" (link)

When does incompetence and corruption rise to a level where the main actors should be imprisoned for decaces, for their part in causing the deaths of tens of thousands?

The irony is that, according to the article, Kushner and Friends actually came up with a halfway decent plan.

This is the sort of thing that really ought to be the subject of a congressional inquiry.

The earliest school re-openings are ten days from now. It's going to be a disaster.

Statement from Rep. Grijalva (D - New Mexico) after testing positive for Covid-19.

"While I cannot blame anyone directly for this, this week has shown that there are some Members of Congress who fail to take this crisis seriously," he said. "Numerous Republican members routinely strut around the Capitol without a mask to selfishly make a political statement at the expense of their colleagues, staff, and their families."

Good on him for calling out Gohmert, even if not by name.

It is just disgusting that the role of masks, social distancing, or other issues in combatting virus spread is a political instead of scientific issue. I could respect people if they said, "We have weighed the benefits of the restrictions for preventing virus spread and have decided that the effects on comfort, convenience, mental health, and economic activity simply aren't worth it. We are willing to accept a certain amount of illness and death in order to live normal lives." It's a tough message, but it's a legitimate position.

Instead, though, these morons just deny reality and pretend that there's no issue. I can't have any respect for that.

(Grijalva currently shows no symptoms. I haven't seen any news about Gohmert.)

Gohmert wasn't the only one.

Pennsylvania lawmaker tears into GOP after colleague tests positive for coronavirus, doesn't tell Democrats

He denies it so perhaps this one is 'undetermined'.

Somebody please tell Congressman Clyburn, who doesn’t have a clue, that the chart he put up indicating more CASES for the U.S. than Europe, is because we do MUCH MORE testing than any other country in the World. If we had no testing, or bad testing, we would show very few CASES...

.....Our massive testing capability, rather than being praised, is used by the Lamestream Media and their partner, the Do Nothing Radical Left Democrats, as a point of scorn. This testing, and what we have so quickly done, is used as a Fake News weapon. Sad!

It makes me glad that Michigan is a late-opening state for schools. Let some other state be the science experiment.

Most of the schools in Michigan do not have AC. That makes it difficult to open in early August. 40 years ago, we used to start the second week of September. Those same schools now start the first week of September. They probably can't push it to much earlier than that.

I was surprised that some Indiana schools are already open. Those poor kids are starting in the middle of summer.

I spent some time tonight watching the departure of the Space-X Dragon Crew from the International Space Station. It went drama- free. Everything nominal. Splashdown scheduled for tomorrow, weather permitting, near Pensacola.

Something struck me. Those idiots in mission control were all wearing masks! What a bunch of dummies. Those guys flying spacecraft sure are morons. I think some Republican Congressmen need to go there and explain to them some things about science.
