If we are speaking like rational people we will recognize that Trump doesnt keep secrets very well...
Even if he doesnt explicitly state something he tends to give very obvious indicators. You just have to interpret his statements to see what intelligence reports he may have read about. He spills out more than any other president.

...almost to a fault at times to potential enemies of state.

Let’s go back to May 2017.

US Intelligence Community: “Mr. President, whatever you do, don’t show this photo to the Russians when they visit the White House tomorrow.”

The Russian ambassador and the Russian foreign minister arrive.

President Trump: “Hey, you guys want to see something cool?”​
 
Same thing as with Huawei.

Is there a shred of evidence of this security concern?

The U.S. has "national security letters" to compel a company to share data and it has a built-in gag order.

It is true most every country could theoretically use private companies for espionage in such ways.

So, is their specific evidence this has happened?

Tik-Tok can fire back with a suit and temporary injunction in no time. This is essentially a bill of attainder (declaring someone guilty and assigning punishment without trial). This denies (the owners of) Tik-Tok due process and the right to face their accuser.

Haven't thought of it this way, but considering this, it's probably a good thing he doesn't receive or pay attention to intelligence briefings :covereyes .

McEnany has condemned Hong Kong delaying their elections, saying that it undermines the democratic process.

I'm just throwing that out there for no particular reason, and not in reference to anything recently said or done by anybody.

I'm pretty sure we're going to have to wade through the uncertainty of the legal challenges to the election if T**** loses. It is not going to be over until it is over, and it won't be over on Nov. 4.

I don't think we will, actually. Judging by the reactions to Trump's use of tear gas to disperse a peaceful crowd so he could pose with a Bible, and the use of federal 'shadow agents' to abduct peaceful protesters, and the dud of a Tulsa rally, and the lukewarm reception of his suggestion he might postpone the election... I think the GOP and conservatives, for all their failings, partly won't stand for, and partly won't dare, obstructing the November election.

You're dreaming, but I'll give you a break because you aren't in the USA. There will absolutely be massive attempts to overturn the election results and to prevent ballots being counted. I'm guessing dozens of lawsuits. Many will be filed by Trump-loving cranks; but many others will be filed by state and local Republican organizations, the national party, and the Trump campaign. And those guys know where the friendly judges are.

This isn't some reporter out to embarrass him, that was planned. He was prepared for that question. The election will be corrupt all right, but it'll be corrupted by the Republicans.

I'm hunkered down in my basement safe for now although I can smell smoke and can hear screaming outside. My neighbors are Mormon so I knew who had food and water stockpiled so I have plenty of provisions until Trump can save us with more federal agents.

Private companies used for espionage? History is replete with examples... most of them in the USA... just a couple examples.

United Fruit Company: The Dulles brothers owned part of the company as UFC was used to overthrow a duly elected President (Jacobo Arbenz)in Guatemala.

AT&T: They gave full Internet transmissions to the government back in 2003 through 2006. Room 641A was a telecommunications interception room and it was managed by AT&T. When AT&T was facing serious charges, our government created a specific exemption for them and other telecommunication companies from prosecution. Sort of a reverse Ex post facto.

Air America and World Vision, are/were also fronts.

Huawei is state sponsored and is actively seeking (like most companies) an advantage within states outside of China. China's soon to be sanctions against Ericsson is exactly what the USA is doing to Huawei.
