To be perfectly fair, Trump and Lincoln share a couple of similarities: they're nearly the same age and have holes in their heads.

Yeah, he's come a long way since banning 'coloreds' from renting in his building, calling predominantly black countries "****holes", supporting the Confederate flag and statues of men who rebelled against their country in order to maintain slavery, calling BLM a "symbol of hate", etc. Gotta give the guy credit!

Trump Tweets

So disgusting to watch Twitter’s so-called “Trending”, where sooo many trends are about me, and never a good one. They look for anything they can find, make it as bad as possible, and blow it up, trying to make it trend. Really ridiculous, illegal, and, of course, very unfair!

Anarchists, Agitators or Protestors who vandalize or damage our Federal Courthouse in Portland, or any Federal Buildings in any of our Cities or States, will be prosecuted under our recently re-enacted Statues & Monuments Act. MINIMUM TEN YEARS IN PRISON. Don’t do it! @DHSgov

Yeah he was laying it on heavy trying to take credit for fast tracking the vaccine: "fastest ever yadda yadda."

1) it's not ready yet
2) a number of other countries are developing their versions of the vaccine at the same pace

I noticed that too. Trump was referring to the vaccine coming out in the future, in the past tense. I should have him write my next job review. "carlitos has doubled the company earnings by next fall"

As for the wall, he done been smote.

hint - antifa thugs are pulling down statues of this guy said:
Everyone therefore that cometh unto me and heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation, and built his house upon the rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house and the stream broke against it, and could not shake it: and it fell not because it had been well builded: for it was founded upon the rock.

And every one that heareth these words of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand, upon the earth without a foundation: the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall (and) ruin thereof.

Yeah sure.

President Donald Trump said Monday he will not be attending memorial services for civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis this week.

Lewis will lie in state at the Capitol as part of six days of funeral proceedings, and the public will be allowed to visit later Monday and Tuesday. Lewis died July 17 from pancreatic cancer at 80.

"No, I won't be going, no," Trump told reporters when asked if he would pay respects to Lewis Monday or Tuesday at the Capitol.

Wait!
Is this the pivot?
I remember scores of Republicans telling me in January 2017 that we should expect a pivot.
The loud-mouthed boor was just an act for the primaries and election. Now he is going to pivot to be the insightful, stable leader we have always wanted.

He did pivot right - after the inauguration. There was, admittedly a small problem in that it was a pivot of 360°. Thus, you are excused for having missed it. :p

Trump’s Campaign announces its all-star line-up of speakers for new scaled down Republican Convention.
Ted Nugent, Scott Baio, Antonio Sabato Jr, and Diamond and Silk will all appear virtually in Zoom boxes before Trump’s acceptance speech. You can already feel the electricity.

Actors and entertainers. Ted's a gun nut. Media whores to a one. Should move a lot of undecideds into the GOP party.

As an aside, how can anyone who doesn't live under a rock be undecided?

He can't go. If he does he'll have to speak.

No one wants him to speak but even if they defer to the fact he is POTUS and put him on the speaking roster, he'll look even more hypocritical than McConnell did up there at the podium speaking about Lewis as he lies in state in the Rotunda.

He might also have to endure Obama getting more respect than Trump.

I depends on the construction process, I expect. If they're pouring foundations first, perhaps they put up sections with only a couple of bolts and got blown down before they got the rest in. Or if they're digging holes, setting fence down in and pouring concrete around it hadn't set yet.

Standing up concrete panels is a construction technique which has been common for well over half a century. All of the precautions necessary to ensure sufficient temporary shoring until the permanent systems are up to spec are well known. Incompetence is the only explanation for not using them.

Or it's just a crappy design.

This is possible. Likely, even.

Or they were under pressure from Washington to get so many miles in so some idiot could make a speech.

See above.

Or they just put it out to the lowest bidder, or to the Kushner Konstruction Kompany.

And again.
