"Beautiful world wars"

No sane person would ever describe the two world wars as beautiful.

Ergo, Trump is insane. Charges of Biden being senile may backfire.

The only question I think The PDJT should get a pass on if he muffs it up would be the month-day-date-year-city question. Since he travels so much, it would be logical for him not to nececessarily know that info right off the top.

Being retired, I'm often not immediately clear as to which day it is, myself.

A lot of people don't know the exact date. I usually couldn't tell you the exact date without looking at a calendar; but I'll know within a couple days give or take. Knowing the exact day isn't really the point. The point is more that you give an answer that makes sense.

If it's June 2nd, and you say it's May 31, that's a correct enough answer. You're off by a couple days, but you are roughly correct. But if you say you know it's June, but think it's the 28th, that may indicate a problem. If you say it's October 20th, then that's a big flag - you have no concept of what the actual date is.

I agree. My mother, who was not cognitively impaired at all, often didn't know what day of the week it was because it had little importance for her. She lived alone and her daily routine stayed the same regardless of what day it was. She often only realized it was the weekend because her soap opera wasn't on.

ETA: I agree with Bonzombiekitty, too. I often don't know the exact date as it's not usually of any importance to me on a day to day basis.

And I think part of the analysis of this test is also how you react to the test, and your own answers. When my mom took one a couple of years ago, there were parts she had trouble with, but she realized that at the time, for most of them.

Trump of course seems to have completely missed the whole point of the test.

Yes. It is easy for other posters and me to not know the date.

But keep in mind that none of us walk into the office is handed an intelligence briefing and other briefings that always have the date at the top. And when we sit down at our desks, none of is is given dated articles from world newspapers. And none of us is given a written copy a daily schedule. And none of us ever has to appear in front of legislators and reporters to sign historic documents that have dates on them.

ETA
On the other hand, does he really need to know the date if he has minions running hither and yon who are expected to know the date for him.

And while folks like us have to remember we have a doctor’s appointment on the 21st and concert tickets on the 24th, POTUS doesn’t.

MORE ETA
I just realized I don’t know today’s date.

These days it is all too easy to forget what day of the week it is. It all just bleeds together for me. *sigh*

And, regardless, none of us would describe the question was "Hard." You might laugh and say, "These days, I don't always keep track of it" but that doesn't make it a "hard question."

Is there really a difference between not receiving all of these documents (us) and receiving all of these documents and not reading any of them (him)?

We are United in our effort to defeat the Invisible China Virus, and many people say that it is Patriotic to wear a face mask when you can’t socially distance. There is nobody more Patriotic than me, your favorite President!

It's not the "China Virus"

He's months late to the mask party.

He's only wearing one now because his poll numbers collapsed.

He will need a mask when he loses and tries to flee the country in disguise.

He's no one's favourite President.

Believe it or not, there are people who think he's handling the pandemic just fine. Seems to be the same people who think that the case numbers are inflated.

At 3 pm today I realized it was Monday, but only because someone else mentioned it.

Wonder if that will backfire on him with the 'I won't mask my freedom' types.

Does he get paid for each capital letter used?

Guardian: Trump consults Bush torture lawyer on how to skirt law and rule by decree

Y'all remember Mr Yoo?
John Yoo told Axios he has been talking to White House officials about his view that a recent supreme court ruling on immigration would allow Trump to issue executive orders that flout federal law.

In a Fox News Sunday interview, Trump declared he would try to use that interpretation to try to force through decrees on healthcare, immigration and “various other plans” over the coming month.

Constitutional scholars and human rights activists have also pointed to the deployment of paramilitary federal forces against protesters in Portland as a sign that Trump is ready to use this broad interpretation of presidential powers as a means to suppress basic constitutional rights.

“This is how it begins,” Laurence Tribe, a Harvard constitutional law professor, wrote on Twitter.

I'm thinking there are two options here.

1) He's going to try to disqualify election results. I don't think that's going to fly. Not with the current SCOTUS.

2) He's desperately trying to distract from his abject failures. This is more like it.

Sorry, dear, that train left the station long ago!
