Yet another potential scandal (pretty small though, as Trump scandals go)...

Ivanka Trump is facing backlash after tweeting a photo of herself holding up a can of Goya beans....Trump's social media post comes days after Goya CEO Robert Unanue praised Mr. Trump...Unanue's remarks prompted calls for a boycott of Goya...Walter Shaub, the former director of the Office of Government Ethics, said that the tweet was "clearly a violation of the government's misuse of position regulation."

I know nothing significant will come out of this... nobody in the Trump administration will take action against her, and its not a big-enough scandal to really harm Stubby McBonespurs. With luck, perhaps it might cause more problems with Goya foods (who I suspect probably want to put the whole boycott thing behind them.)

Great News on Vaccines!

Trump's need to keep retweeting this fake number shows just how worried he is about his poll numbers.

Rasmussen is the poll that tends to favor Trump. But even the Rasmussen poll does not show a 96% approval among Republicans. From the poll released July 8.

Now, Rasmussen's latest polling, which was published Tuesday, shows that Trump's support among Republicans has declined by 4 points since mid-June. It now stands at 80 percent, down from 84 percent.

Overall, Rasmussen said he recorded the lowest level of approval he has seen for Trump, at just 39 percent nationwide. Of that total, only 27 percent said they strongly approve. At the same time, 58 percent of respondents said they disapprove of the president, while 47 percent said they strongly disapprove.

The Trump Administration can make a grand announcement in October that it has found a vaccine for Covid-19 neglecting to mention that the earliest it can actually be deployed is some time in 2022. The US electorate will be relieved that things will go back to normal in a few weeks and reward President Trump for winning "the war" against Covid-19 by reelecting him.

In the euphoria, his utter mismanagement of the US government's response will be forgotten.

"It has found a vaccine"?

Isn't that like saying I found a billion dollars in Bill Gates's bank account?

Trump, takes credit for everything and responsibility for nothing.

To me it seems his thinking is 'I didn't do what Iran is doing, that makes me the good guy'.
Hypocrisy wouldn't come into it.
