Yes, I know, language changes but that particular new usage is like nails down a chalkboard to me.

So rather than an abrupt 180 degree turn, he seems to be doing a slow pivot. "I don't wear masks, but" followed by an affirming remark to the Führer.

And yeah, "intensely masculine" is the first thought that comes to mind about Orange Führer :D .

It also reminds me of how little he took Covid-19 seriously in the beginning, saying it was a hoax and then that it would go away by itself, and that his disciples then proceeded to praise him for doing more than any other head of state to stop the virus. He closed the border with China to some people, see.

They really have departed 100% from reality. It's like they're living in an improv show where their leaders can just conjure up facts and everyone else on stage are supposed to just run with them. Trump could say there were unicorns on 5th avenue, and his supporters would start tweeting about the beautiful unicorns.

Yeah, he's been brought up in a couple of other threads. He's running as an independent because the incumbent Republican is far too liberal.

Latest poll out of Texas has Biden up by 5 in the Lone Star State. I'll believe it when it happens though. But considering the flood of COVID cases in Florida and Texas, you have to see the potential of those states flipping.

Fingers crossed they all turn blue and it is a wipe-out of historical proportions. And more to the point, I would like to see McConnell clearly tossed out. That scheming little turd knows full well what he is doing. So having him booted out of the Senate, and having that house turn solidly blue, would be a major step towards tilting the balance of the USA back to the sensible centre.
