Thanks, This is the first I have seen of that. By the time anyone has a chance to catch on to a scandal, this administration has already moved on to the next one, thereby making it hard to keep track, let alone keep interest. We all already know that, but it bears repeating

Not a lawyer, but I think the repercussions for violating an NDA come after a work is released. To do it before is "prior restraint", and I think courts have frowned on that concept in the past. That's assuming for the sake of argument that this NDA is valid in the first place.

Regardless, I think I'll listen to the audiobook when available.

Not sure how relevant this is, but the attempt to block the book publication came from Robert Trump (Trump's brother).

It is certainly possible that Trump is actually the one behind the attempted publication ban, but given Trump's eagerness to show how "tough" he is, I'm surprised he wasn't front and center in this. (Maybe even he knows the lawsuit would fail and didn't want to embarrass himself.)

I think the fact that the argument is prior restraint of POLITICAL speech makes a difference. The article I read said there was speculation that that is why Robert filed it instead of Donald. Didn't Robert file it the day after he got out of the hospital?

1) He won't, he'll just keep lying and when the deaths go up he'll call it fake news.

2) He'll move to claiming it's temporary and will go down again and stick with that.

I got curious about this study...

Researchers not involved with the study were critical....the Henry Ford team did not randomly treat patients but selected them for various treatments based on certain criteria...."Finally, concomitant steroid use in patients receiving hydroxychloroquine was more than double the non-treated group. This is relevant considering the recent RECOVERY trial that showed a mortality benefit with dexamethasone."

Rosenberg also pointed out that the Detroit paper excluded 267 patients ... who had not yet been discharged from the hospital.
He said this might have skewed the results to make hydroxychloroquine look better than it really was....

So it was a study that 1) wasn't doing a full double-blind study, and 2) ignored other factors that may have contributed to hydroxychloroquine's "success".
