Jeffrey Epstein arrested for child sex trafficking

Maxwell was Epsteins closest confidante - she operated his bank accounts, managed his properties, hooked the girls he used, and knows who he dealt those girls to. Whatever happens, there are going to a lot of very wealthy, very well known people who are now going to be crapping themselves. They will want to shut her up.

She needs to be closely guarded and protected because her life is almost certainly in danger!

Sure, like her pal Jeffrey was. Didnt the security cam system fail at the time he was killing himself that night ?

I imagine she feels less safe after the day guards go home.

I'm surprised as well, she has the passports and apparently access to considerable funds.

I wish I was surprised at her access to considerable funds considering her wealth came from her father's embezzlement

I thought the same thing, but carlitos didn't actually provide a cite, so who knows how real that "quote" really is.

I was on my phone, which provides crappy apple news links, not direct links.

As the post says, I 'cited' CNN.

ETA - for those who are using a device with a clickable "right button" on their browser, this is an option. Right click and choose "search with google."

Somebody please tell me why we give a damn whether or not the FBI director used the word "slithered"? Why are we expending effort on this?

Because it shows a level of creativity uncommon in official government announcements.

And he really did say it.
“We have been secretly keeping tabs on Ms. Maxwell’s whereabouts as we worked this investigation,” Bill Sweeney, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s New York Field Office said at a Thursday press conference. “More recently we learned she had slithered away to a gorgeous property in New Hampshire, continuing to live a life of privilege while her victims live with the trauma inflicted on them years ago.”

The FBI had been "secretly keeping tabs" on Maxwell for the past year, most recently finding she had "slithered away to a gorgeous property in New Hampshire, continuing to live a life of privilege while her victims continue to live with the trauma inflicted upon them years ago," Bill Sweeney, the assistant director of the FBI’s New York Field Office, said in a Thursday press conference. A grand jury had recently voted to indict her, and the FBI "moved when we were ready," Sweeney said.

Is it too much to ask for law enforcement to at least try and maintain a professional appearance by not sounding like trashy tabloids?

The point is that I can’t be trusted. When I cite CNN by name, but without a link, you had better triple check that quote. Probably 19,000 of my posts here have fake quotations in them.

Are you sure slithering isn't a federal crime? I'd like to see a lot of Trumpers prosecuted for aggravated slithering with malice aforethought.

Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Madam’ Ghislaine Maxwell Is Behind Bars. Who's Next?

British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested Thursday for her alleged role in recruiting and abusing underage girls in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking ring.

But the federal prosecutors who charged the former couple hinted that the criminal case won’t end with the indictment against Maxwell. At a press conference, they said the “investigation remains ongoing” and they’ll continue fighting “to bring justice to individuals” who facilitated or participated in two decades of abuse.

One person they’d like to speak with is Prince Andrew. The 60-year-old royal was friends with Epstein and Maxwell for years, and stands accused of abusing one victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who was kept as Epstein’s “sex slave” from 1999 to 2002.

Lot of names in this article. Trump isn't mentioned, but he should be.

50-50 that she lives long enough to sing.
