I know this sort of response has been done many times but can you imagine the GOP response if a Democratic president knew the Russians were funding bounty hunters to kill American soldiers and yet did absolutely nothing about it. Impeachment would proceed immediately, not to mention the 24/7 howling about treason.

I've come to the conclusion that the effect of the Trump presidency on the GOP has been about as bad as Trump himself. They have displayed an appalling lack of principle and a willingness to subvert democracy at any extreme just to win. Right now I cannot envision myself voting for a Republican again at any level.

This country needs a principled conservative voice to espouse their perspective since the Dems need a counter force to keep them honest. But the GOP cannot fill that role any more. I don't know how change will come about or how long it will take but the status quo is simply untenable. It's unhealthy for pols on both sides of the aisle and, more importantly, unhealthy for the USA.

The Repubs in the Senate are the crucial link because the Constitution gave Congress the power of impeachment, but they have put their party and their jobs above not only the Constitution, but the people the Constitution was written to serve: that is, you and me and all Americans. They are just the lowest, self-interested liars among a group of people - those in Congress - that are traditionally viewed as scum. So we're talking about the scum of scum. When scum gets so bad that it has scum on it, that's where we are.

I used to live near The Villages. The story is a bit overblown but there are some pretty juicy elements of truth in it. A couple of people I used to work with retired there. I gather from what they said, you can find that sort of thing if you're looking for it. That there was a pro-Trump golf cart parade there surprises me not in the least.

That's two flaws, yes. We can compensate for them, but they are still flaws. I could list a dozen more from the top of my head.

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale is being blamed for the Tulsa rally failure. Kushner’s people complained about him bragging that a million people had requested tickets, but Trump was infuriated with the thousands of empty seats during his speech.

According to O.G., Parscale has been the target of Trump’s extremely vulgar rants, and claims that the campaign is lacking any sort of coherent strategy or direction. People close to the president say that Parscale's job might be in jeopardy.

Trump had visited the Arlington headquarters recently and told people he was impressed with the sophistication of the organization, but in recent days he has been muttering to close staff about resigning, just prior to the election, thus avoiding a huge loss.

O.G. says Trump is alternately depressed, angry, sad, agitated and sometimes he just sulks. The idea of him resigning sounds crazy to me, but she confirmed the story last night. She also said that, if asked about it publicly she will have to deny everything.

...Nobody’s been tougher on Russia than the Trump Administration. With Corrupt Joe Biden & Obama, Russia had a field day, taking over important parts of Ukraine - Where’s Hunter? Probably just another phony Times hit job, just like their failed Russia Hoax. Who is their “source”?

And what exactly has Trump done about that? Not a damn thing.
