Oh, she wasn't THAT bad. She just made the boneheaded move of trying to grow during the dot-com crash by buying up a direct competitor when the smart thing was to slim operations and expand vertically, and then lurching around for a while with two companies' worth of overhead because she was afraid of pulling the trigger on layoffs that everyone knew were coming anyway.

That was back when Superman was kind of a dick all around, though.

Honestly I'd like that even better - sort of a chaotic neutral Supes whose rogues gallery is full of affable, well-intentioned extremists who never know if it's better to fight him or talk to him. Lex could be a genuine good guy who happens to think society is better off without the creep.

Probably even more delayed now. The burst of new cases appears to be mostly young people. It will take time for it to expand from there to the older population, then more time yet for them to start dying.

I watched that segment and while Gohmert did indeed act like a 2 year-old, Nadler also earned my ire. After Gohmert had been warned again and then a third time, Nadler shoulld have halted the proceedings and had Gohmert escorted from the room by police. Nadler came off looking like a weakling with no firm leadership ability to keep order at the hearing.

Sometimes I wish the Dems would just grow a pair; this was one of them.

I just had a horrible thought.

50 years from now, we will probably have overwhelming evidence about President Trump breaking laws, squashing investigations, trying to enrich himself, and generally being self-centered to the detriment of the US. Gohmert is one of, if not the, biggest crazies in Congress and that's saying something. He is rabidly anti-LGBTQ, thinks Christians are being persecute in the US, limiting rounds in a magazine leads to gay and polygamous marriage, allowing gays in the military will lead to lazy soldiers who sit around massaging each other all day. He also said the FBI was looking into women who were sent to the US to have babies, would then return home and raise them as terrorists only to be sent back to the US as citizens to destroy our way of life.
