So can't find the original thread, but figured that I would post here. Back a while when Congress passed the Bill for stimulus checks and it was discovered that U.S. Citizens living in the US with a legal immigrant partner who filed their taxes together, but the partner didn't have a SSN, would be ineligible for a Stimulus Cheque, I noted that U.S. Citizens NOT living in the US, but who filed their Taxes with a Valid SSN would be eligible under the law. This meant that my wife was eligible to get one despite not having lived in the US for coming up to 11 years.

So anyways, guess what turned up in the mail today?

Hey Donald, thanks for the Free Money, and she still isn't going to vote for you! (Yep, she's still able to vote too!)

And I note that since Saturday we have not heard anything about that big Fourth Of Ju;y parade/celebration in DC Trump was talking about.....

It's been in the news here that Americans who have lived in Norway for more than a decade got stimulus checks sent to them.

Thanks, I guess?

Personally overheard today: Trump supporters telling each other that the crowd inside the arena was kept low on purpose by Trump due to pandemic concerns.

How do they square this with:

  1. The campaign itself tweeted about how there were plenty of seats available, so Come On Down!
  2. They left the upper decks empty, rather than spread people out with at least some social distancing

The mental gymnastics these people are capable of never ceases to astound and confound me.

Not mental gymnastics but lack of actual awareness how astoundingly stupid they sound saying that stuff over and over in public. Mental gymnastics requires a fully functioning brain. These folks clearly don't exercise what little they have.

Being harraseed and criticized goes with being POTUS.
It's incredible that Trump thinks he is above criticism.

Especially since he spent 8 YEARS harassing and criticizing the previous president.

Criticizing him about things that Trump, himself, has done in the past four.

But that’s what Trumpizing is all about: ignore everything I have ever said - please pay attention only to what I am saying right now!

Could somebody please explain to reporter Doug Mckelway of @FoxNews that the Border Wall has long been under construction, the battle (war) is won, the Dems have FINALLY given in. In fact, I will be in Arizona tomorrow to celebrate the 212th plus mile of completion. @BretBaier

Rather hard to believe that @FoxNews didn’t know that the Border Wall is well under construction, fully financed, & already over 200 miles long? Will soon be finished! They just reported that “it is something that Dems are unlikely to budge on in this election year”. @BretBaier

Could somebody tell Trump that his head is up his arse?

The Trump administration has more than 500 miles of fencing funded, some of which is already under construction. But even if the administration achieved its 2020 goal, it would only put 165 miles of new fence in previously unsecured areas of the 2,000-mile border. The rest would replace older barriers.
On many occasions as a candidate in 2015 and 2016, Trump said he would build 1,000 miles of “wall” at a total cost of $4 billion. That campaign promise, which vastly understated what it would cost to build that many miles of barrier, will not be met by December. As of the latest budget request earlier this year, the Trump administration has been given or seized $18.4 billion for the wall.

Not to mention the fact that the campain themselves gave a totally different reason... (that it was the protests).

Today I learned the US/Mexico border is just a little over 200 miles long.
