REVEALED: An anti-deportation group partnering with George Soros's Open Society Foundation is one of the groups behind the "defund the police" movement.

This just in, progressive group that supports one progressive cause found to support a second progressive cause. Stay with us for more breaking "Duh!" moments.

When Eric Trump is your opening act and you can't even come close to selling out an arena, it's time to consider breaking up the band.

Are we taking odds on Trump refusing to leave his dressing room?

And odds on how many groupies he's got back there?

The Turtle has stated that he'll follow tradition and allow NY State Senators to have a veto over Trump's chosen replacement. Schumer says, "He shouldn't even be considered." Chalk up another one in the lost column for the Orange Turd.

Only the best!

Apropos of absolutely nothing, here are two paragraphs from an WaPo opinion piece today;

Since 2015, Trump, his business or the Republican Party have sued or threatened to sue MSNBC, NBC, the Associated Press, the Daily Beast, Univision, an anti-Trump T-shirt maker, authors Michael Wolff and David Cay Johnston, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R), former Ohio governor John Kasich (R), a Jeb Bush supporter, a super PAC, the Republican Party, sanctuary cities, former aide Steve Bannon, former Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, the U.S. Golf Association, a 92-year-old widow in Scotland, the women who alleged he sexually assaulted them, the co-author of his own memoir, the Club for Growth, the Culinary Workers Union, the National Hispanic Media Coalition, the organizer of a “Dump Trump” campaign, the city of Minneapolis, and an artist who painted a nude of him.

Before that, he sued or threatened to sue the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, a Chicago Tribune architecture critic, Bill Maher, the now-deceased rapper Mac Miller, the Village Voice, ABC and the BBC, a random Twitter user, a woman critical of Trump University, a critic of his golf courses, a Miss USA contestant, Rosie O’Donnell, the Obama Justice Department, and the Onion.

The tongue-in-cheek thrust of the whole article is that you better vote for Trump or he'll sue you. *snort*

There are a lot of empty seats in the arena. So much for the million tickets Trump said were requested. He couldn't even fill the arena.

ETA: I don't know if it is due to this or not, but this idea is priceless:

https://www.allsides.com/news/2020-...p-s-tulsa-rally-leave-empty-seats-it-probably

ETA 2: The Trump campaign is blaming protesters for blocking access to the metal detectors. There were no protesters anywhere near the detectors.

Ouch. This hurts Trump in his most vulnerable spot..his ego.

Gotta be frustrating for those idiots who waited in line for days, only to find that they could have just walked in at the last minute. Good.

Any protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle, or Minneapolis. It will be a much different scene!

A good number of people seem to have reported Trump's recent tweets. There's little question that it incites violence or at least implies as much.

It's a horrible crowd size for a Republican in Oklahoma.

I posted this elsewhere:

This result makes me cautiously optimistic. The way I see it, one possibility is that even his most fanatical followers aren't quite willing to risk infection just to hear him speak. If they can make one rational decision, they might just make another and not vote for him.

The second possibility is that the actual number of "fanatical" followers is significantly lower than we assumed. That's also a good thing.

They rented overflow space outside. It's being broken down because it's unused.

There is undoubtedly going to be at least one screaming fit from Trump tonight. I badly want it to get recorded.

Yeah I found that revelating tweet quite amusing as well. There's a bunch of commenters saying Soros should be put in jail now.

Lindsey Graham (who is on the Senate Judiciary committee) has said he would follow the general guidelines that will allow senators from a state to veto nominees for that state's attorneys. IF Graham is honest and follows through, it means that the Democrats can block Trump from putting in his preferred choice.

Only temporarily until...and if...Trump's nominee (Powell) is confirmed. A nominee who has ZERO prosecutorial experience is nominated to be the top prosecutor in the SDNY. Only the best!
But as I mentioned before... It is normal procedure for the senators from the state (in this case both democrats in NY) to have veto power over attorney confirmations for their states. Under that rule, I doubt Powell would be confirmed.

Now it is possible that republicans might cram his confirmation through anyway (since they sent to have no problem breaking conventional norms) despite saying they won't. But they could be recognising that there is a good chance the democrats could take both the Senate and white House, and don't want to do anything to rock the boat to help a president who is headed to defeat anyways.

I had the news on waiting for his entrance. For some reason, CNN is not carrying it live but just has talking heads. I only figured this out when they showed a clip of what he'd said several minutes ago. Jerks.
I had to tune to (*cough*) Fox. Just in time to hear the long-winded explanation of the ramp story.
