I was generally aware of Tucker Carlson’s despicable rants although I generally avoid exposing myself too frequently to them for health reasons. But when I’ve read his recent output the word “despicable” seems inadequate to describe them. Unbelievable that such a hate monger, racist, fascist is given such a prominent platform - all in return for some money from the advertisers willing to put up with the smell.

Speaking of the Confederacy and racists, I hadn't seen this Lincoln Project ad before today. Confederate flag = flag of losers and racists, and lots of photos of Trump fans with that very flag. I think it's powerful.

I don’t understand why, when asked about the Confederacy or neo-Nazis, Trump doesn’t tweet, “I prefer racists who didn’t lose”. I guess he is more forgiving of loser racists than captured war heros.
 
You just know these things get under Trump's skin, and he can't help but hate-watch them.

I applaud Gen. Miley for admitting his error.

But, Trump is Commander-in-Chief. Miley is his subordinate. So, when asked to participate in that photo op, he really couldn’t refuse if he saw it as an order. His only option would have been to resign - refusing a direct order is, I think, grounds for discipline and even removal.

You've got to understand his psychology. He consider lying to get out of any situation, including the draft, to be a victory. In his mind he "won" in Vietnam while McCain "lost".

There is a huge difference between deleting history and honoring and commemorating traitors who fought to preserve slavery.
