There really must be no adults left in the room. The recent episodes including the church walk and the tweet about Martin Gugino that promotes a baseless conspiracy theory, his stance on the Confederate flag, etc are things that I would think no experienced political operative or strategist would ever recommend and would seem to indicate that Tweetler is calling the shots and not doing a very good job of it.

Does he want to lose in November?

He is surrounded by people who think like him, and they all think most Americans think like them.

No, which he is making sure that the 30%-40% of the us electorate who are his base are riled up and ready to vote in November.

That, and some strategic voter suppression could easily get him over the line.

Sure. But I wonder if riling them up further is necessary. They are going to come out to vote for Trump without feeding them more red meat.

Not that I mind Trump’s efforts in this regard. IMO it works against him across the broader electorate.

How many British military bases are named after American Revolutionary War Generals?

The British don't name their bases after generals, anyway.

I was just pointing out that who is a traitor depends on which side you are on. And a considerable part of the US citizens were on the Confederate side, if only due to geography.

I simply think Trump needs no help in dividing the US, so there is no reason to bring up century-old division lines, just now.

But, this is obviously a sensitive subject, and I shall not touch it again.

Kayleigh Feckless said:
“Yeah, what the president saw when he looked at this issue,” McEnany recalled, “he takes it personally offensive, the notion that the men who deployed to World War II, to World War I, to Korea, all across the world, to Vietnam — the last bit of the United States many of these men saw were these forts.”
So then that's for whom the installations should be named, not defeated enemies.

Thought she said she was never going to lie to us. What happened?
She was lying.

Jesus H Christ, that's some serious kookery! And so is that website.
He’s really pushing that Dead Cat Bounce in the job market as some kind of miracle he engineered. His only hope is to convince the stupid. He might, given that polls still show people think he’s better on the economy than Biden for some reason.
I sincerely hope it is NOT a dead cat bounce, not that Trump had anything to do with creating it.

Just locations, like the US Navy I think. That's better anyhow.

Gen. Miley apologizes.
"As many of you saw, the result of the photograph of me at Lafayette Square last week, that sparked a national debate about the role of the military in civil society," Milley said in a prerecorded address at a commencement ceremony at the National Defense University in Washington. "I should not have been there. My presence in that moment, and in that environment, created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics."

"As a commissioned, uniformed officer, it was a mistake that I have learned from, and I sincerely hope we all can learn from it . . .

Trump ain't gonna like that.

Trump Tweets

Radical Left Governor @JayInslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stooped IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!

Sleepy Joe Biden refuses to leave his basement “sanctuary” and tell his Radical Left BOSSES that they are heading in the wrong direction. Tell them to get out of Seattle now. Liberal Governor @JayInslee is looking “the fool”.

LAW & ORDER!

Trump Tweets

Our great National Guard Troops who took care of the area around the White House could hardly believe how easy it was. “A walk in the park”, one said. The protesters, agitators, anarchists (ANTIFA), and others, were handled VERY easily by the Guard, D.C. Police, & S.S. GREAT JOB!

Trump Tweets

The Federal Reserve is wrong so often. I see the numbers also, and do MUCH better than they do. We will have a very good Third Quarter, a great Fourth Quarter, and one of our best ever years in 2021. We will also soon have a Vaccine & Therapeutics/Cure. That’s my opinion. WATCH!

Pushback from allies since Trump thugs attacked peaceful protesters. New entries in blue:

Pat Robertson
Mattis
Esper
Gen Miley, who was in the photo op
Mike Mullen, former Chairman of Joint Chiefs
John Kelly
Gen. John Allen (ret)
Murkowski
Romney
George Bush
Colin Powell
NFL/Goodell
NASCAR (sort of)
Drew Brees

Majority of REPUBLICANS disapprove of how protests handled
Polls trending poorly

I crossed off Bush because his spokesperson issued a non-denial denial. This means either (1) NY Times reporting is wrong and they refuse to retract or (2) NYT is right, however Bush is keeping his preferences private. I assume the latter. Based on that assumption: what a useless, cowardly twit.

There is one in Trafalgar Square.

Strangely, as a slaveowner, his statue has not been tagged for removal.
We don't want to upset President Dickhead as the UK is going to be heavily dependent on the US due to Brexit.

I'm only half joking.

"The Civil War? You mean the war between the Yankees and the Americans?"

you might add
Disney
T-Mobile

who have stopped adverting with Tucker Carlson over what he said about the protests.
He would be in good company with the other Trump-Propagandist who had to close shop due to lack of advertisers.
