Stepham Miller is wriring a speech for Trump on race relations.
GOd, you can't make this crap up. Of all the people in the world, Miller is the last guy you would want
to write a speech on race relations. It's like asking Henirich Himmler to write a speech on "THe Jewish Problem".
Trump is clueless about appealing to anybody outside his Base. And i think alot of voters who are not part of his die hard base who gave him a chance in 2016 will not do so again.

If the theory here is that he’s using a cellphone to scan police frequencies, that’s just utter BS. It’s not possible.

This crossed over the crazy CT theory boundary from the get-go.

Yeeesss. Hard to fathom that level of crazy claim. Even worse, he was "pointing" his phone at the cops and "scanning" them for comms frequencies. At that point, i was totally WTAF?

Doesn't matter though, some wingnuts will believe it, crazy as it is.

Let us suppose for a moment that Gugino was using police tracking software on his phone. I've no idea how this works, but the story suggests that you point the phone at a radio source and learn the frequency it's using so that your allies can block that frequency.
I may be missing something obvious here, but why would anyone want to do that? What's their motivation?

And Martin Gugino is now a marked man.

I hadn't really thought about that, but it's certainly true. The president has accused him of being an ANTIFA plant and "declared" ANTIFA a terrorist organization. Gaetz already suggested that ANTIFA should therefore be hunted down.

Thank goodness that there are no real nutbags armed to the teeth and devoted to Trump and co. Otherwise there could be trouble.

Geez.

I never thought we would have an overt racist in a modern USA administration. But to put him forward to “help“ deal with our current crisis is bizarre beyond comprehension. Has Trump decided that a race/civil war is the way to his re-election?

Haven't you heard? He is a war president, after all.

Who is that? Sounds like he should be somebody important.

I see Trump is starting to seed the ground with "Oh I have just so much dirt on everyone... be a shame if I didn't get re-elected and didn't have anything better to do but share it..." crap.

I sincerly doubt Trump has any dirt on anyone that didn't just fall of him while h was close to them.

Also... the Marines rank Mattis somewhere slightly above "God" so... that's not going to go over well with them.

At last check... Trump has quite the history of investing in finding dirt on people. It's hard to say how much he actually has and on who, of course.

Some people might think there is a difference between a rally/protest against a significant social injustice (like police kneeling on a person's neck until dead) and a political rally to satisfy the ego of a snowflake like Stubby Mcbonespurs.

Some, but context matters, too. While I firmly support the protester's cause, personally, I consider the large gatherings by the protestors to be just as problematic (or frequently moreso given the dramatically higher numbers) as the gatherings to demand reopening from the COVID standpoint. Trump rally, Biden rally, again, problematic from the COVID standpoint, though I have little doubt that Biden would make decidedly better efforts to make sure that people stay safe.

To put that another way, while there is a difference, it's not relevant for the main point of concern in play. Also, don't let them bait you into fighting for the double standards that they're trying to provoke you to defend in a kneejerk manner. That'll just help feed their "help, help, I'm being repressed" fantasies.

Yeah... I was being very nice about it. On the prosecution side of things, I'm still not sure how much I would call for the people who actually did it to be prosecuted as well, for that matter. That's the kind of thing that should be an obviously illegal order, after all, and I hesitate to allow the "I was just following orders" defense as valid in such a case. If there was valid cause for individuals, that's one thing and can be acceptable. A whole parking lot of parked cars? There's pretty much no way that that's defensible.

You're assuming an order was given. In your first link, there was no mention of an order. Or maybe I didn't get the memo. Was there an order? What were the specifics? I don't think you need to slash all four tires to disable a vehicle; that looks like vandalism to me.

Or have him remain POTUS without alection......

In the end Democracy really does depend on both sides agreeing to abide by a set of rules. Which one side decides that winning is the only thing that matters, throw out the rules democracy is in deep trouble.
The US suffered one massive breakdoen of D emocracy; In 1860. Worst blodbath in US History followed. I am afraid we ae on that same course right now.

Trump Tweets

Mattis was our Country’s most overrated General. He talked a lot, but never “brought home the bacon.” He was terrible! Someday I will tell the real story on him and others - both good and bad!

Seb Gorka: “I’m not a Marine, but I know the Marines....Jim Mattis is no Marine.”
@MarineCorpsU hired Gorka to teach Marine officers. Hope this article produces some soul searching.

That link has Sebastian Gorka calling Mattis a moral coward. I puked.

Gorka is just another run-of-the-mill right-wing lunatic who got some exposure while employed by Trump. He's not qualified to carry Mattis' jock strap. Neither is Trump.

You are correct. I am assuming that such an order was given, at this point, given the nature of the "justification" offered. Yes, I certainly could be wrong about that. This is me still making kind assumptions about the people who were actually doing it, though I understand that the kindness is likely misplaced.

Trump and his press secretary commit felony voter fraud:
WASHINGTON – Even as they both attack the idea of voting by mail, President Donald Trump and his new press secretary may have voted by mail illegally, using residential addresses on their registrations that were not their residences.

Kayleigh McEnany cast Florida ballots in 2018 using her parents’ address in Tampa, even though she lived in Washington, D.C., and held a New Jersey driver’s license. Trump cast a Florida ballot this year using a business address in Palm Beach, where he had promised the town government he would not live.

He does? I find that surprising.

I just figured he made up stuff rather than finding actual real dirt on people. You know... Like his big planned reveal of Obama's birth.

If he could find dirt on other people maybe he would actually be more successful.

Cops admitted "deflating" tires. Sure sounds like it was planned and approved.
"While not a typical tactic, vehicles were being used as dangerous weapons and inhibited our ability to clear areas and keep areas safe where violent protests were occurring," he said. As in all operations of this size, there will be a review about how these decisions were made."

Deputies from Anoka County followed state orders and joined the patrol and also cut the tires on vehicles on Washington Avenue, said Anoka County Sheriff's Lt. Andy Knotz.

Knotz said the deputies got their directions from the state-led Multiagency Command Center [MACC], which was coordinating law enforcement during the protests connected to the death on May 25 of George Floyd.
