Trump makes this sound like Bennett walked out as a protest in support of publishing Cotton's op ed. He didn't. He 'resigned' because he screwed up in publishing Cotton's op ed calling for our military to be deployed throughout the country to 'assist' local law enforcement against protesters as in Lafayette Park. As in Kent State.

Bennett now concedes that was a mistake and it should not have been published. But Trumpers reading his tweet will think Bennett was defending the article.

Apparently, The Party hasn't told the apologists what to say about Trump's violent treatment of peaceful protesters yet. They're still avoiding the press and claiming ignorance.

I do hope Trump goes to prison... but I suspect the Democrats will "wimp out" on pursuing charges. Plus, the legal system does tend to be very lenient on financial and political crimes.

I don't think we have to worry about any of the Trump spawn running for office.

First of all, while we recognize Trump as frequently incoherent and dishonest, he does have a certain.... personality (snake-oil salesman charisma)....that he uses during his rallies and speeches that Ivanka (or his other children) do not seem to have.

Secondly, the republican base is a fairly bigoted group, and Ivanka has 2 strikes against her... 1) she's a woman, and 2) she is jewish.

You are correct about Ivanka. And the third strike is that she's not a half-wit. It'll be Don Jr. He'll sit in the office, sign things, and meet foreign dignitaries while Don Sr. tweets, holds rallies, and calls people childish names. Meanwhile, the Federalist Society and Koch bros will continue to run the country.

President Donald Trump wrongly claimed that a House Democrat from Pennsylvania voted for Nancy Pelosi as House speaker after promising that he would not vote for her. In fact, Rep. Conor Lamb kept his promise. Lamb voted for Rep. Joe Kennedy III of Massachusetts to be speaker.

Lamb, a Marine and former federal prosecutor, won a close March 2018 special election in Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District — a conservative-leaning district that Trump won by 20 percentage points in 2016. With everything going on our 'president' fritters away his time on nonsense like this. Nonsense that's not even true.
