@GOPChairwoman
May saw the BIGGEST JOBS INCREASE EVER.
This jobs report serves as an emphatic reminder about the strength of @realDonaldTrump’s record.
He built the greatest economy once, and now he is doing it again!

Lying with statistics.

In a way I hate that phrase, because a lot of people wave away all statistical arguments as irrelevant. The statistics themselves don't lie, but they are used by liars.

I don't think anyone will be fooled into thinking that, right now, our economy is in great shape. If it is actually in great shape by November it could help him gain votes.

And that's a legitimate issue. Come November, how wiil we be doing? If most of us have jobs, and most of us still have all the relatives we started the year with, that ought to count in his favor.

Personally, I'm not optimistic about the state of the country at this point. Dumping Trump will be a consolation prize.

I wonder if this counts as racism (since Trump tends to be abusive to most mainstream reporters, regardless of race)... but it certainly looks bad, considering the current problems.

From: The Daily Beast
During a rambling news conference...President Donald Trump shushed a black reporter for asking how he plans to address systemic racism amid the George Floyd protests...Yamiche Alcindor wondered why the president didn’t have a racial inequality-related plan laid out, prompting Trump to put a finger to his lips as he said “shhh.”...Trump later said his plan was to have “the strongest economy in the world” as it would be the “greatest thing that can happen for race relations,” causing Alcindor to shout out that the unemployment rate actually went up for African-Americans and Asian-Americans. Trump, dismissively waved off the White House reporter’s question, derisively adding: “You are something.”

And of course, the actual rate is about 3% higher than what's being reported.

....

Trump is blatantly racist, and he is also contemptuous of women. Many of Trump's clashes with the media have involved female reporters asking questions he didn't like.

I think Trump has latched on to that "Shush" thing recently. You can see the same thing at his bible photo op, at around the 2 minute mark here:

I imagine he thinks he looks like a parent scolding a noisy child, when in fact he just looks like a twerp who doesn't want people asking him hard questions.

Even more than that, I think he resents every millisecond someone else is talking in his presence. I'm certain that the advisors he has managed to keep for more than 6 months are the ones who say little in his presence other than "Absolutely, Mr. President."

I'm afraid that Biden, assuming he wins in November, is going to have to spend at least the first year of his administration undoing all the damage that Trump has done.

Nah, one single executive order that says “all EOs by he who shall not be named are rescinded and we promise to never speak of it again”.

Wow, that's... wow. I've worked at a 4H farm that offered therapy riding to the mentally challenged and people with Downs, serious autism, etc. and he actually reminded me of one of them there. Or a child pretending to be an adult.

I've been noticing this more and more with the wannabe Führer. He increasingly reminds me (and others) of a child with special needs. And anger management issues.

To be fair, it'll take a week to compile the list as an attachment to the Biden EO, but one would hope that the outgoing administration would show enough consideration to allow the incoming administration access to their paperwork. Yeah, I'm just kidding.

It reminds me of a political cartoon I saw early in President Obama's term. He was dressed as Ash from the Evil Dead series, fighting a horde of zombies moaning "Reaganomics ..." while a guy in the background shouted "Why haven't you fixed the economy yet?"

I didn't know they did it that way, after trump held up the Bible. That they then lined up for more pix. No masks, no distancing. Guess they knew, 'the big man' don't want it.

Absolutely crazy.

That is the one thing good to come out of everything Trump does is by simple declarative fiat, it can be undone just as quick.

We just need to keep from having to name another SCOTUS judge.
