That was my first reaction.
Now I take it to mean: all the violence occurred while the governors (and mayors) were in charge. President Trump gave advice and was ignored. But if each state gives Trump free rein 1 to deal with the situation then there would be no fires, no attacks, etc.
(1) I am guessing POTUS would describe it as each state giving him absolute authority. But that’s just a guess. I have no evidence to support that.

Are there people who are actually impressed by this? They're primary elections. He's bragging about winning elections in which the only people running are Republicans. A Trump endorsement swaying Republican voters in Republican primaries is just about the bare minimum we'd expect from an incumbent president.
This is like a major league ball player crowing about how he crushed it playing T-ball on the weekend.

Second. I am pretty sure that if the day should come when indictments against Trump are released, then Twitter may be unable to handle the traffic of all the people tweeting LAW & ORDER.
I don't know Twitter, but did he just retweet his own all-caps catch phrases?

I see the US Senate Republicans are shrugging off Mattis's comments.
The Senate Republicans are giving us a display of political cowardice unmatched in US History.
And it's a strong argument for term limits. The Founding Fathers never intended that the US Congress should be a lifetime job. Careerism in the congress is killing democracy as GP ongressman are shirking their responsiblity out of pure cowardice.
More and more I am afraid there will be no peaceful solution to this crisis. Maybe after more then 200 years we need a second revolution.
