Like most of the Trumpers, you don't understand the First Ammendment. You get a pass for being Australian, they don't.

The First Ammendment applies only to GOVERNMENT censorship. Private companies like Twitter, Google, Facebook, and yes, Breitbart are free to choose what content they allow.
Trump tweeting that MSDNC is being unfair to him and tagging the FCC, on the other hand, is a blatant violation.

Yes, but this was in response to Trump thinking about starting a committee to investigate anti-conservative bias in social media. If a government sponsored panel starts suggesting that certain tweets or certain account holders be suppressed, that's pretty clearly a violation of the first amendment, even if Twitter et al. go along with their plans. I think it's been well-established that a third party violating your rights on behalf of the government is still unconstitutional.

But some Nazi fanatics believed even after it all ended so horribly for them and their country, and even after the evils of the Nazi regime became evident. Trump’s supporters? Especially given their is an overlap between the two groups...

I remember seeing a documentary in which an elderly German soldier was talking about the end of the war. He had been captured by the Allies and at one point he and his unit were shown film of the liberation of the concentration camps. At the time, he and his friends had laughed, insisting that they were being shown fake footage staged by the Allies to make Germany look bad.
Fake news. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

And the few Republicans who thought they could do a 25th Amendment read up on it and learned that not only do you need 2/3 of the Senate and the House, you need the VP to put his signature on it. I believe it would be easier to get Trump’s signature on a paper saying Trump was too crazy to hold office than it would be to get Pence’s signature on that paper.

They had the chance to rid themselves of the Trump problem with impeachment but were all too cowardly to do it. They've given all their power to him.

He's proud of this. Sadly, so will his supporters be. They can't see how dangerous this kind of thing is to democracy.

The problem is he continues to get away with everything. No consequences for anything.

I would love to see Bezos buy the USPS and tell the Trump campaign we don't feel like mailing your crap out.

Or Twitter just shut him down. He absolutely HAS to have violated Twitters user agreement.

It's not a democracy, it's a Republic. Democracy is so evil there's a Commie Socialist Leftist Mooslim We-hate-America party named after it. That's why we've got to make sure only the (far) right people vote!

My great-uncle, who had emigrated from Germany to the US just before WW1, went back to visit his family in Germany in 1957. His brother turned out to still be a die hard Hitler fan who refuse to recognize the crimes of Hitler and the Nazis. They never spoke again.

He has. Continually. This was actually something that was being poked at a bunch early in his Presidency. Twitter acknowledged it, too, while also pointing out that they were in an interesting situation because Trump was significantly increasing the usage of Twitter in general.

So they've continued to favor profits over upholding the rules when it comes to Trump.

Whoa!

Ann Coulter tweeted
3 years ago, a complete moron of a president told NBC's Lester Holt, "I was going to fire Comey. ... [W]hen I decided to just do it I said to myself, I said, 'You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story.'" BAM! SPECIAL PROSECUTOR! Twitter Link

Ann Coulter tweeted
The most disloyal actual retard that has ever set foot in the Oval Office is trying to lose AND take the Senate with him. Another Roy Moore fiasco so he can blame someone else for his own mess.

Ann Coulter tweeted
Trump didn't build the wall and never had any intention of doing so. The ONE PERSON in the Trump administration who did anything about immigration was Jeff Session. And this lout attacks him.

Ann Coulter tweeted
COVID gave Trump a chance to be a decent, compassionate human being (or pretending to be). But he couldn't even do that.

I know what my ex-Boss would say! ;)

To clarify, Trump is making another attempt at name-calling here (he's used this several times before.) It's actually MSNBC, a decidedly left-leaning network. But he calls it MSDNC because he's "cleverly" alluding that the DNC (Democratic National Committee) runs it.

We just got a look at the official portrait for the self proclaimed Governor of Georgia. She fought a tough race, kissed a lot of babies and visited every buffet restaurant in the State. Joe will be a racist if he doesn’t pick her. #maga #tcot #kag

To protect PolyGrip during this pandemic, we have developed 2 options. With the DJT option, she will be able to tongue and adjust her dentures more easily. With duct tape, she won’t be able to drink booze on the job as much. Which do you think she will prefer? #maga #tcot #kag

Is The Trump trying to find twits to re-twit that are even more bat **** crazy than his own?

Does he think that it will make his own look less demented by comparison?

Tune in to our next exciting episode.

Suspending him (I'm not even going to think about a ban) would activate the base. It'd be evidence of the elite media conspiring against Republicans to throw the election to Biden. They want to "silence" the president. It doesn't matter that their arguments are utterly inhecorent.

Plus there's an old saying, "better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt".

I want to see Trump's tweets, the more the better. At a minimum it gives us an insight to what he really thinks, and something to laugh about. Hopefully it will also help turn people away from him and convince them that he needs to be removed.

Trump has never become a public servant in any sense. He's still a (supposedly) billionaire sitting in a public servant's chair.

I would pay money to hear some reporter ask “Mr. President, you recently retweeted someone who referred to you as a public servant. Do you see yourself as a public servant? Are you here to serve the American people?”

And in response, they would ... quit Twitter?
not likely.

OK, I take your point.

So what is the situation when the government tries to censor what a private company says? Which is what it would be if Trump wanted the government to shut down or otherwise control Twitter.
