How has that worked out?

We don't know. It could be that the existing level of screening has prevented dozens of infections. After all, no system is perfect so a few cases might be considered a success. And once into the White House staff, screening cannot prevent its further spreading.

During Trump's rage phase, I'm reminded so often of DARVO.

Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim-Offender.

Towards the end of my own experience with a partner who used such tactics, I began to notice that a declaration from them as to what they feared I "might do next" was proving to be a fairly reliable indicator of the exact manner in which I was about to be mind-******.

ETA: it also serves as inoculation against calling them out for it. They will retort, and others may be convinced, that you are regressing to an "I know you are but what am I" defense.
