2 teen fast food workers shot because dining room was closed

**** these criminals and the network that's trying to make it seem like it's okay in any way to shoot kids because they're mildly inconvenienced.

At what point do places like this start posting armed guards? Or just closing entirely?

<snip>

If they had to post an armed guard that would probably make them close. Those places don't have the sort of profit margin needed to hire someone to just stand around.

In the U.S. instruction pretty much ceases in early May, or before.

No, it varies widely from state-to-state and in some states, district-to-district. I moved around a lot as a kid (thanks to the US Navy) and some places the school year ended in late June, and then we've move somewhere where the school year started in early August, giving me a hella short summer break.

Virginia Beach, VA is notorious for its schools schedules running for the convenience of the tourist-friendly businesses that want cheap teenaged labor to exploit during their busiest season.

Also within districts. There are schools here on the traditional 9 month/summer break schedule, and also schools on a 12 month schedule with several smaller breaks. Parents can apply to either type.

There is precedent for doing exactly that. 27 of them to be exact. Why not 28?
My point was the bar for that is really high.

I do not declare it impossible, just so improbable as to not feel like wasting more bandwidth explaining why.

Why did Trump flaunt all those anti-invisible enemy guidelines and then get "lava mad" that someone close to him was infected? Did he think that as God-Emperor he could simply decree that no one close to him contract Covid-19?

Also, I hope he and Pence catch Covid and get sick enough that Pelosi has to take the reins :halo: .

Early on in this pandemic, I posted a meme on Facebook that pretty much explains it.

This is the first thing in his life that he can't just order around, or ******** away. And it shows.

When Trump made Mar-a-Lago a club, he agreed not to live there. He seems to have forgotten.

Interesting. The locals should push this - his voter registration is faulty (FAKE). He shouldn't be allowed to vote ;)

Voter registration fraud, not voter fraud.

It's one of the many not "in-person voting fraud" that get rolled into those inflated lists of examples of why we supposedly need voter ID, so the distinction is important.

Mmm. I was more referring to his actual vote in Florida perhaps ending up as fraudulent, as it was, but yes, voter registration fraud would probably cover any actual fraud that happened, presuming that Trump didn't manage to show off his incompetence again in a way that lickspittles are covering up.

It's both.

He committed voter registration fraud when he registered to vote in Florida and gave the Mar-a-Lago address as his residence. Mar-a-Lago specifically cannot be used as a residence, as is laid out by carefully and clearly enumerated zoning regulations regarding the agreements which Trump conceded to as part of being allowed to operate it as a private club, something which Trump is very aware of since he has fought so strenuously for so long trying without success to get that changed. So that's one.

Then he applied for an absentee ballot using that invalid registration (even though he objects profoundly to the very idea of absentee ballots), and used that ballot to submit an invalid vote. That's two.

In spite of all the Republicans' professed concern for the sanctity of the voting process the highest ranking Republican in the country committed not one, but two illegal acts when voting ... for himself ... and they are not at all disturbed by this.

You make the little joke, yes?

It is not possible for President Trump and Vice-president Pence to be sick enough for the Senate to agree to letting Speaker Pelosi take the reins.

Even if both members of team chucklehead were in comas, neither Speaker Pelosi nor the public would be informed. After all, they have already set precedent that people other than POTUS can send out tweets on the RealDonaldTrump account. So, The electronic vitriol, bragging, and name calling would continue and it would be business as usual. Senator McConnell would continue to prevent bills from reaching the White House.

Furthermore , any nominations could be made by the folks who steer the president to specific people (if those folks were ever caught nominating judges while the president was in a coma they would simply say, “POTUS wrote a very detailed note explaining who he wanted nominated and we were just following his instructions. No. Of course we are not going to show you the note. Now, go away, loser”).

But that's not what he agreed to, and it's not what the town permitted. He had previously been forbidden to sell condos and residences. They're not going to say "Okay, do whatever you want."

Yeah, he's not gonna get away with it.

This may be your best use of sarcasm/irony to date.

Or mebbe not. Palm Beach has demonstrated a consistent inclination as well as the ability to not knuckle under to Trump's attempts at bullying. And they can afford lawyers every good as Trump's. Maybe better, since the lawyers they hire won't be as worried about getting paid.

Trump's choices are pretty clear.

He can operate Mar-a-Lago as a private club, in which case he cannot use it as a private residence, and any claims that it was after the club began operation are patently fraudulent.

Or he can claim it as a private residence, in which case any operations as a private club during such time as he has claimed it as a residence have been illegal.

Now, whether or not anyone does anything about Trump's clear flouting of multiple laws and regulations in this matter is an entirely different story. History suggests that no one will, but we can hope.

Pretty sure I have seen this on Twitter. Nice one.

Trump tweets

When are the Fake Journalists, who received unwarranted Pulitzer Prizes for Russia, Russia, Russia, and the Impeachment Scam, going to turn in their tarnished awards so they can be given to the real journalists who got it right. I’ll give you the names, there are plenty of them!

So great to see our Country starting to open up again!

We are getting great marks for the handling of the CoronaVirus pandemic, especially the very early BAN of people from China, the infectious source, entering the USA. Compare that to the Obama/Sleepy Joe disaster known as H1N1 Swine Flu. Poor marks, bad polls - didn’t have a clue!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

I’ve been going through the interview transcripts that ODNI forced @AdamSchiff to release. It’s now clear why every Republican on his committee in 2019 called for his resignation. He knew the closed door witnesses didn’t support his innuendo and fakery on Russia collusion.

House Democrats are now considering #coronavirus legislation that PAYS states to let criminals out of prison.
But those same Democrats also argue that gun stores and your #2ndAmendment rights are “non-essential” to protect yourself.

Let’s get this straight:
-Democrats want you to stay in your house to combat #coronavirus.
-Democrats also believe we should have open borders during the coronavirus crisis!
Seriously?
President Trump’s decision to temporarily halt immigration is common sense.

President Trump is draining the Swamp. But the Swamp is fighting back.
• 2016: FBI spies on campaign
• 2017-2019: Mueller investigation
• 2019-2020: Schiff's sham impeachment
Yesterday, House Dems establish committee to attack President on #coronavirus.
When will it stop?

His residence was still in NYC in 2016.

I also doubt that this could be successfully prosecuted as fraud, but won't bother with a less than half-informed argument to the contrary since what the **** do I know about residency laws?
