Biden for President?

Too bad Clinton didn't run again.

Let's not go overboard. Trump is in the White House because of Clinton's catastrophic "It's My Turn!" campaign. How far would she have even gotten in the primaries? If Biden is the aging face of the old Establishment, so is Clinton.

This is a good point. I'm more than willing to set aside Reade's allegations as unproven, on this basis.

The only potential drawback I see is that this resets us to the general rule that rape claims don't count unless the claimant can prove them.
ftfy

Stop posting claims not in evidence at all!

I don't believe I had heard of Obama until he ran for POTUS.

Essentially we have a guy who shouldn't be elected running against a POTUS who even more so, shouldn't be POTUS.

Too bad Clinton didn't run again.

You hadn't? He became well known after giving the keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic national convention.

She doesn't have to do that. Ford just kept quiet. But Reade praised her alleged attacker to the skies. That's a little hard to understand.
That post did not deserve an actual answer.

Best not to try to debate such a stupid post.

We don't know that. However stopped or not, she pulled out when the intersection was not clear. 100% her fault. One of those horrid seconds you cannot take back.

That may be what investigators concluded. But I'd still like to know more about sight lines, weather conditions, etc. I have run more than one stop sign because a low-hanging branch or a parked truck blocked it until I was past it. And the EMT said trucks routinely sped down the hill.

...
I have no idea if Reade is telling the truth. I also have no idea if Ford was telling the truth. I'm not going to comb their twitter accounts looking for personal tics to inform that decision either.
Maybe you should read some of the evidence posted in links here discrediting Reade with a fair amount of evidence.

Q. How do you a woman has been raped?

A. Her mother makes an anonymous call to a TV show and says that her daughter has had "problems" that she and her rapist have been unable to work through but that her daughter has too much respect for her rapist to pursue the matter herself.
Exaggerate and distort the facts much here?
Yes.

Upon examining your claims, it's revealed that they're not exactly how you present them.

Biden mentioned the driver of the vehicle that hit Mrs. Biden being "drunk" twice (2001, 2007), not "on numerous public occasions" as you claim:

It is true the man was likely not drunk, but that does not mean Biden lied. Why? Because that was what Biden heard.
Lou Angeli, a 20-year-old probationary volunteer fireman at the time, was at the scene of the accident and said:

Biden did not make up the rumors of Dunn being drunk "out of whole cloth". That is what he had heard from those who were there and/or whom he believed had knowledge of it. Were they incorrect? Most likely (no toxicology test was ever performed) but Biden did not know that.

As for you claim that Biden later apologized for "slandering her father", that is also not exactly true.
After Pamela Hamill, Dunn's daughter, saw a clip of Biden mentioning her father allegedly being drunk, on a 2008 episode of Inside Edition she sent a letter demanding an apology. Biden did apologize to her in a letter, but not for "slandering her father":

Seems to me you are spreading rumors that Biden "lied" about Dunn.
Thank you. See, now I have even more information to use to respond when this issue comes up.

Oh stop it!

That couldn't be further from the truth.

You hadn't? He became well known after giving the keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic national convention.
Yeah, shortly before he ran. If that's your measure of 'name recognition' every Senator has just as much name recognition.

Who is it you think didn't have name recognition?

Harris made a name when she questioned certain people in the Senate hearings. She was great.

Clearly Warren had name recognition.

I think your argument this was all about name recognition is full of holes.

And one of the reports I read said she had her baby on her lap.

This is just not worth revisiting.
She pulled out in front of a big truck; speeding down a hill does not explain that poor decision of hers.

Trump's not in the White House?

Comey didn't ruin Clinton's chances?
The Russians didn't carry out a sophisticated social media campaign as well as using micro-targeting based on Cambridge Analytica data mining and analysis?
Clinton didn't win by THREE MILLION more votes than Trump?
Sanders didn't push the false belief he lost because people in the DNC who HAPPENED TO SUPPORT CLINTON, NOT HIM, weren't fair to him? Hint: the DNC changed the debate schedule after Sanders' complaints. He had nothing else.

It was a marketed message that "it was Clinton's turn" and all the crap that went with that marketed false message.

"In 2001, [Hamill] wrote a heartfelt letter to Biden expressing her father's profound grief after hearing Biden make a post Sept. 11 speech in which he told the audience that, given his history, he could empathize with victims.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2020/03/19/bidens_memory_isnt_the_only_problem_its_his_lies_142706.html

Hamill wrote in 2001. There seems to have been a misunderstanding, and she understood Biden's "no animosity" statement to mean he'd stop blaming her deceased father.

It wasn't until 2008, after Biden repeated the false story again, that she directly forced the issue.

Hamill wrote in 2001. There seems to have been a misunderstanding, and she understood Biden's "no animosity" statement to mean he'd stop blaming her deceased father.

That is pure speculation on your part.
She does not say she made any reference to Biden's remark about her father being drunk in that letter. Nor does she say they even discussed that. What she says is that they discussed her father's grief over the incident. If you can find any evidence otherwise, please provide it because I cannot.

In fact, Hamill said in 2008
:

Hamill says that because she fondly recalled those tender correspondences, the revelation of Biden’s distorted story is even more overwhelming.

“We always felt like our heartstrings were attached to (Biden’s) heartstrings. Now we feel stabbed in the back,” she said.

Hamill also stated in 2008:

Yet Hamill said she had no idea Biden had been misrepresenting Dunn until late August.
That’s when “Inside Edition” producers requested an interview with Hamill after the television show’s reporters had gathered evidence contradicting Biden’s story.

Hamill says she defended Biden at first, believing that, perhaps, his words had been misconstrued

What we do know is that she sent him a letter demanding an apology in 2008 AFTER his 2007 remark.

So there is no way your claim is true.

I would dearly love to see Joe Biden record a video statement where he explains that his research of the sight lines, weather conditions, and EMT opinions has led him to believe that the formal investigation got it wrong. And that this research is what justifies him spending years slandering the truck driver and blaming him for the deaths of his loved ones.

A witness to the accident said Mrs. Biden was stopped before pulling out into the intersection. She did not run the stop sign. Regardless, she was still at fault as Mr. Dunn did not have a stop sign. He had the right of way.

Biden has not been 'slandering' Dunn. He repeated what he had been told by people he assumed would know and apparently believed. There are only TWO known incidents of him mentioning Mr. Dunn being drunk 6 years apart. That is hardly "spending years slandering" Dunn. Get a grip.
