The Trump Presidency: Part 20

And, comments Trump makes to certain reporters, I think, were outrageous. His hatred of media he can not control was blazing. Sometimes I am able to look at all-things-Trump with a sense of humor, but not today. I found him too frightening to find any humor.

He hates the media because he can't control it and they have the audacity to criticize his perfection.

He said
Some of the states are very happy. Even Gov. Pritzker from Illinois is happy. He may not be happy when he talks to the press, but he's happy. He's a very happy man.

REPORTER: You mentioned you asked US drug companies to help treat Boris Johnson. What kind of treatment is that?

TRUMP: "It's a very complex treatment of things that they've just recently developed. And that they have a lot of experience with, having to do with something else."

Trump on Captain Crozier: "It was a mistake ... it shows weakness and there's nothing weak about us now. Not anymore. We have the strongest military we've ever had. And we're not going to be showing weakness to anybody."

Remember kids: never show or acknowledge weakness. Always lie, cover up your crimes and mistakes. It's what the President did to you.

Yep, they have lots of experience with something they've just developed. Anybody else see a problem with that statement?

Re: Democratic politician claimed she was helped by anti-malaria drug pushed by Trump...
Of course it would be unpopular... because its an example of a high-ranking politician who is failing to use critical thinking.

You know, a skeptic would look at what is essentially an anecdote and say that by themselves it does not provide proof. After all, there are probably hundreds of people who also claim they were helped by praying to god, using crystals, magnetic therapy. Its only though actual scientific studies that we can demonstrate whether such "cures" are actually effective.

....

Slight quibble: A representative in a state legislature is one of the lowest-ranking politicians in the American political spectrum.

Something occurred to me today, about when Trump confused "domestic violence" and "Mexican violence" during a recent press conference. I'd wager that most of the "domestics" (servants) he's known in his life have been Mexican, so it's natural for him to associate the two words. He may have even thought they were synonyms. :D
