Where the heck are those numbers coming from? New York has over 112,000 active cases today. There were over 15,000 newly diagnosed cases announced since yesterday across the US.
 
I don't know why people are surprised that Trump is refusing to shut up about that one drug.

He doesn't want to be proven wrong.

The problem is, after they get out of church, they're going to go grocery shopping, and probably spread it to people who are out because they have to be out, not because they're stupid idiots going to church.

Finding good numbers is hard, but this site seems reliable:

There was a one-day drop in the overall number of newly infected, but there was also a note for that day about problems in reporting the numbers for New York City and Tennessee. The drop looks too dramatic to be real, I suspect it's an artifact, and today's numbers will be closer to what was reported the previous few days. Compare it to Canada's numbers. We had a big one-day drop on April 3rd, but the 4th and 5th were back up.

More than 10,000 people have now died from coronavirus in the US, according to Johns Hopkins University, which is tracking the pandemic. The death toll is currently 10,335, with more than 347,000 confirmed cases in the US.

New York Gov. Cuomo Reports A Drop In Number Of Deaths, But Warns It May Be A 'Blip':

The governor stressed it was still too early to tell what that means for the long term. "We're not really a hundred percent sure what the significance is, as we're feeling our way through this." It's possible, he cautioned, that the drop me simply be a "blip."

Sounds like NY is saying the same thing. I don't know how bad this week gets. I'm hoping it gets better despite Trump's nonsense.

I've been following Worldometer for a couple of weeks and noticed there's a lag on Sundays.
 
Barbados Health Ministry officials have confirmed that ventilators destined for the island and had been paid for were "seized in the United States".

What a selfish prick.

Looks like Trump and his administration could wind up being directly responsible for 10's of thousands of deaths before this is all said and done.

As far as I'm concerned, I would label this as "murder". Cold-blooded, calculated, selfish, self-centered murder.... All for the sake of, not saving the american people, but for the sake of saving his own skin in the hopes of re-election. He doesn't even give a **** about how it looks to the rest of the world, he only gives a **** about how it looks to his voters for Nov 2020.

Murderers. Crimes against humanity.

I'm looking forward to the investigation into the Trump administration (aka the US government) by the United Nations for possible crimes against humanity, at the end of all this.
 
I like to think that the day he leaves office is the day that several Attorneys General will be fighting over who's first to arrest him. The thought that he is likely to go to prison and die there keeps me sane.
