The Trump Presidency: Part 20

Even Trump isn't thick enough to never have any moment of clarity.

He just never maintains them long enough to matter.

I don't think Trump is totally unaffected by the loss of life. I just don't think he's affected enough for it to matter.

Does he even have friends? I mean that sincerely. I'm reminded of that quote from A Song of Ice and Fire: "kings have no friends, only subjects and enemies." Whenever Trump is around someone, I think the only thing he asks himself is, what good are they to me? What can they do for me? What do I gain from associating with this person? Etc.

There's a moment in this cheesy sci-fi novel I read once where a young girl is trying to learn an alien language. There's a moment where she tries to tell the sentient dinosaur that is tutoring her (long story, just roll with it) that she's came to consider the creature a friend but is saddened when she realizes that the language doesn't seem to have a word for friend and the best she can come up with is to call the creature "An equal I enjoy being around."

I think that's Trump. He might have "friends" by some definitions, but none outside a power chart he's keeping track of in his own head.

Remember when it was just one guy coming in from China and it would all blow over? Now he's saying if we only have 100,000 to 200,000 dead it'll be because he did such a great job.

Jeffrey Epstein?

If we have 3x the deaths of the entire world right now, we he will have done a great job.

******* wonderful.

Yuck.

Trump Accuses Hospitals of Hoarding Ventilators

Trump, whose critics have accused him of trying to deflect blame over his handling of the crisis, did not cite any evidence to back his accusation that hospitals were hoarding the devices. It was also unclear which medical facilities he was referring to.

"We have some healthcare workers, some hospitals ... hoarding equipment including ventilators," Trump said at the White House following a meeting with corporate executives, including from U.S. Medical Group.

Is there anyone we're aware of that he just hangs around with, who isn't either a family member or some sort of employee, or in a business relationship with him? I can't think of anyone. The closest might be Giuliani, but even there, he's his lawyer first.

The people he schmoozes with at places like Mar a Lago? All paid members of the club, or their guests.

And even his family are more like employees than actual family.

On #NationalDoctorsDay, we recognize the remarkable men & women who treat their fellow Americans, find cures for the diseases & illnesses we face, and never waver in their efforts to treat every patient with the dignity, respect, and empathy they deserve.

Trump Tweets

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats delayed the Workers Help/Stimulus Bill by over a week, trying to add real “junk” into the Bill. Got some bad things, having nothing to do with those affected by the Virus, included. Republicans need their votes until we WIN BACK THE HOUSE IN 2020!

Consistency is not a Trump strong point.

He can't believe things are this bad, he fluctuates back to it's a plot against him.

Throw in a bit of projection, that's what he would do, ergo so would everyone.

Idioticcy from the President.
Of course I have no doubt there might be a bit of what the US Army we called "moonlight requisitioing " going on; if your unit needed something urgently you just grabbed it and worried about the red tape later; but this accusatin is just disgusting.

And he followed up his unfounded accusation with “ So, somebody should probably look into that, because I just don't see, from a practical standpoint, how that's possible to go from that to that."

So, the president describe the most serious crime in the country and follows up with “So, somebody should probably look into that”, how the **** can people look at him and say he has leadership skills?

I’m glad I don’t drink because I would make myself sick trying to drink enough to forget President Trump saying

“Think of it: 151 countries. Somebody said to me today that wasn't in this particular world -- they didn't know that we had that many countries. A hundred and fifty-one countries. That's something."

Exactly which "particular world" were they thinking of then? Or was it that the "Somebody" just "wasn't in this particular world"?

Trump warns that easier voting means 'you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again'.

Donald Trump called in to Fox & Friends*Monday morning and openly admitted*that if more people vote, Republicans will lose.

I mean, we know they all think it, but I didn't think he'd stupid enough to say it out loud.

Fixed that for him.
