I hear that Fake News CNN just reported that I am isolated in the White House, wondering out loud, “when will life return to normal?” Does anybody really believe that? There was no leak, they made it up – they are CORRUPT & FAKE NEWS....

....I have been packed all day with meetings, I have no time for stupidity. We’re working around the clock to KEEP AMERICA SAFE!

Several Republican senators said the bill needed to be changed to ensure that laid-off workers would not be paid more than they earned on the job.

"This bill pays you more not to work than if you were working," Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a Trump ally, told a news conference.

I'll have to find out what the details of that are but honestly, these guys think people won't want to go back to work? How many people could that possibly effect? They can't get out of their habits believing all poor people would be lazy leeches if given a chance.

In the mean time, McConnell frames the one time pitiful payment of $1200 as a "four figure payment." Is he ******* kidding? That hardly covers one months' rent for people.

These idiots act like it's a bonus, a tax rebate, whatever. Hundreds of thousands of people are out of work already for 2-3 months. Small business owners don't qualify for unemployment and they are losing their businesses because they can't make lease payments.

A large section of the population do not have savings. They were already living check to check.

This might be an appropriate time to point out the old but underappreciated truism that half the people in the country have below average intelligence.

Our retail economy bases a substantial amount of its marketing on this simple fact. And it is a strategy which is almost infallibly successful. Because it doesn't have to be successful with everyone. Anywhere close to half is plenty.


If underhanded, slimy tactics work for close to half of your customers then you'll be doing very well.

It shouldn't escape anyone's notice that Trump's "core" supporters are consistently less than half the voters.

Just sayin'.

More so, I expect, since they had every reason to fear being jailed, tortured, or just summarily shot if they incurred Hitler's displeasure.

Trump's flunkies don't have to worry about that.

I'm trying to understand what the $1,200 rebate is. Some places are describing it as an advanced credit for 2020 which has to be reconciled later. I really don't understand it.
 
At one point in the replies to questions today, Trump said something about being for all Americans, and "all 350 people...". Of course, he meant to say "all 350 million people...".

I think.
