He may not be wrong, especially in states where incidence is low - currently

I'm definitely NOT one of 'his people,' although my job is shutdown and yes, I'd like to go back to work. But I'd like to avoid catching this flu even more. Luckily, I live in a Blue State and I think the decision on whether to allow non-essential businesses to reopen is up to the state, not the federal government. I don't believe our Governor is going to sound the 'all-clear' until the numbers stabilize and begin to decline. Right now new cases are increasing at a rate of about 25% per day.

What does Trump really think? Who knows. I'm sure "Our people want to go back to work," and "The cure can not be worse than the disease," is trending really really well on social media and therefore I expect Donnie to keep saying it.

Well, I guess recommending Social Distancing is at least a step up from the antisocial distancing he would suggest at his rallies (punching or beating people to keep them away).

Unluckily, every state that doesn't take aggressive measures will have plenty of virus to export to others.

I wonder if he thinks he has the authority to just order businesses to open when the states have ordered them closed?

No. He just plants the seed of the idea the orders aren't valid/necessary/fake news/deepstate and let what happens happen.

No, he'll blame the states who have closed down for all the US' economic ills whilst pointing out that these states have a lot of dead in contrast to Montana which only has a few thousand.

Err... Beginning? Where have you been? 2016, for example, involved a rather remarkable amount of "DEMS ARE STEALING THE ELECTIONS!!!!!" in response to vote counts from more heavily Democratic areas coming in a bit slower than most of the Republican heavy areas, along similar lines. Also, the systemic voter suppression efforts of the Republicans have quite pointedly never stopped.
