I am really scared that Trump will fire Fauci, and go back to the no big thing routine, whilke tens of thousands of Americans die.
I am not really, really, concerned that this will all end in viiolence.

WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF. AT THE END OF THE 15 DAY PERIOD, WE WILL MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHICH WAY WE WANT TO GO!

First of all, why is that in all caps?

Secondly, sounds to me like he wants to relax various self-quarantine restrictions to boost the economy. Problem is, if doing so causes the disease to spread, any 'boost' to the economy will be short lived.

True, but it's enough to get him relelected.....

The same reason he put "worse & worse" in quotations. He has no understanding of grammar, punctuation or the English language in general.

Yeah, he's a moron.

Given that he tweeted the original right after a guy on Fox was talking about the ills of poverty and how the lockdown "cure" here might be worse than the disease...

He seems to be uncomfortable with reading. I expect he doesn't absorb written information all that well. Broad strokes only. He squints and seems to read with one eye. And then there's that thing that happens with his gaze that doesn't happen with any other statesperson I've ever seen -- when he's trying to think something up, he'll often look up and to the side. There have been leaders who weren't considered especially bright, and he makes them seem like great statesmen -- Gerald Ford, for example.

I'd love it if the former Gerald Ford were the president now -- we'd be in much better shape.

I liked the first reply to his tweet:
YOU ARE INSANE

The comments section is truly scary with the blind support of the cult members.

Very scary. Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, tweeted some crap about "Governors and local officials should let people out of their homes before they let criminals out of the jail." (This also refers to changes in bail requirements in NYS which has wingers foaming at the mouth.)

That is exactly what I've suspected for quite some time. I believe he has a reading comprehension problem; he does not process the written word well. It causes him to be monotone when reading with few inflections where we'd normally put them. He becomes confused and then goes off script, falling back on comfortable rhetoric to center himself again.

Just look how limited his "very beautiful" vocabulary is; ****, not only did he not know COVID-19 was a pandemic "long before it was called a pandemic," he probably didn't even know how to spell or define it until one of his handlers told him last week.

Trump's popularity rises as fake news and the Democrats try their best to trash him 24/7. Must be frustrating to see a real leader like Trump in time of crisis being praised by Cuomo and Newsom. He's a cinch to be reelected now. Anyone seen Biden, the invisible man? Haven't heard from him since he plagiarized all of Trump's virus decisions and declared that was what he would do if he was POTUS. What a loser.

Political conservatism is fundamentally a fear driven phenomenon. It's no surprise that when people are scared it benefits conservatives in the polls. Sadly this holds true whenever the crisis that is causing the fear is a direct consequence of conservative incompetence.

Agreed. Conservatism, in general, is largely rooted in the comfort of the status quo, of tradition, of the 'known'. Everything has a place and everything in its place.
