The Trump Presidency: Part 20

If Pence holds up that damned "15 days to slow the spread" directions again, I'm going to throw my shoe at the TV.

Good afternoon.
Watching the Covid-19 Breifing. Seconds after Pence said that only people with symptoms should be tested because they need those tests for those with symptoms, he said that he doesn't have symptoms but he is going to get tested as well as his wife.
Of all the things for which one should despise this administration, this isn't one of them. All of our top government officials and the people with whom they're living should be tested, probably weekly. It was ridiculous when they were saying Trump and Pence weren't getting tested when they were unquestionably both exposed, and it would be ridiculous now not to test them when potentially everyone (especially in urban centers) is being exposed.

Especially when Trump and his party of toadies are hanging around in a close group every damn morning.

Good afternoon Babbylonian.

I agree that this ranks very low on the list of things to "despise this administration", over. Personally, I don't despise this administration, I just have to deal with them like all of us. I'm Just pointing out the mixed messages that is coming out of the "Covid-19 Task Force ". For every important and worthwhile statements they make , they make ridiculous statements that cast doubt on their credibility. Again, for anyone who has paid just a little attention to this administration from day one, credibility is not something they have much of any how. Now that FOX News is somewhat taking this virus a bit more seriously, perhaps their regular viewers will be paying attention to these briefings and those mixed messages can be confusing.

I just posted in another thread that one of the saddest parts of listening to Trump in his pressers is that I can't believe anything he says. Nothing. His history of lying is so profound that he has zero credibility. Whatever he says I just discard.

Second COvid briefing in a row that Trump has turned into a shouting match with anybody who dares asks him a tough question.
Now rumors he is considering firing Fauci for daring to contradict him.
And he is stupid enough to do it.

Good afternoon Stacyhs

He is a con-man. Arguably, the GREATEST CON-MAN OF ALL TIME!!!. Let's face it, he is now the most powerful man on the planet with his con. If people pay attention to these briefings they will see President Trump make a statement and then seconds later an expert contradicts what the President just said. Then The President comes back to continue with his obvious falsehood. No one can blame this administration for Corvid-19 but when it comes to how it is being handled by this administration, I think there is plenty of blame that can be placed squarely on them. Oh wait. The President has repeatedly said that he doesn't take responsibility for anything.

Slight correction: Trump readily takes responsibility for anything good whether he deserves it or not.

TO be honest, I think every President does this...takes credit for good ndews whether he dserves it or not.
problem is Trump carries it to extremes.

It's the difference between "I am happy to report we..." and "I have...because I am awesome."

If there was anyone I think should get tested on a daily basis, symptomatic ot not, it should be the President (and maybe the VP). Never mind that he finds it quite a distasteful procedure...

Oh I missed that part. But I'm sure the evening shows I watch will be repeating that part endlessly. I don't have a problem with that.

Pussy grab and then you die.
Has anyone studied the transmission rate between vaginal-hand contact? Maybe Trump was actually showing how knowledgable he was about disease transmission when he suggested pussy-grabbing as a form of greeting.

Bad news: This writer contends persuasively that Trump can still win in November, largely by taking credit for anything good and blaming others for everything else. I have said that if this crisis, no matter how bad it gets, starts to improve by, say, mid-summer, Trump will be able to enter election season as the triumphant warrior, and enough voters in swing states will swallow it.
Trump isn't bothering with running against Joe Biden. He's running against Peter Alexander and the rest of the press, and he's running against China, for having lowered the "China virus" on us. "I know fake news very well because I deal with it every day," Trump bellowed from the White House podium. He swept his arm, indicating the entire room full of reporters. "There is a lot of fake news right here."

People keep saying Trump "knew." He knew people were warning him, but he didn't believe it would be a disaster. Eggheads issue all kinds of false doom n' gloom warnings -- like the global warming hoax.

Plus, some of those experts were women.

Obama very seldom used "I" in comparison to Trump.

The best thing that could have happened to Obama was to have Trump follow him. The comparison in history will not be kind to Trump.
