Biden for President?

Well yes, because they are childish, petty psychopaths driven by spite and a desire to punish the system, not improve it. That has been made clear.

Like for instance, going into a Biden thread and going "Neiner neiner neiner you ain't getting our vote."

How's the veal?
Why is it that Biden supporters who won't vote for Bernie are concerned moderates unconvinced by the promises of progressivism, but Bernie supporters who won't vote for Biden are childish, petty psychopaths driven by spite and a desire to punish the system?

If Biden wants to clinch Bernie's supporters, he needs to pick a progressive VP they can rally behind instead. Insulting them to their faces for losing is not likely to be a productive rallying cry.

What good did it do Sanders? Doesn't sound like much of an accomplishment to me.
He came in second over the efforts of his own party and with zero industry funding. There were no PACs supporting him, no collections of dark money in smoky rooms. That's a lot farther than anyone would have expected it to take him.

Sure, Sanders wasn't able to turn out enough people to win. Just remember that cuts both ways.

Biden voters that are jubilant this didn't work out for Sanders should not be surprised when turnout is also low in the general among these people.

Sanders is overwhelmingly popular among younger democrats and he still couldn't mobilize them for victory. If he couldn't do it, Biden definitely can't. Be ready for low turnout from this group.

That's not what cutting both ways means.

Sanders didn't win because he didn't get enough support vs Biden. His voters now pouting and refusing to vote against Trump is spite, not lack of support.

Well because one group actually exists (in meaningful numbers) and the other doesn't.

We've covered this. "I'm taking my ball and going home" is Bernie supporter mentality, not a Biden one.

I disagree with your characterization, but I'll set that aside for now. What is Biden gonna do about it? Let's assume even more Bernie people than in 2016 won't support the Dem ticket. What's his plan to deal with that?

Dark money. Do you listen to yourself?
... do you know how American elections work, especially since Citizens United?

Which group has the mentality of calling its opponents childish psychopaths?

So Biden has to reach out to people who have demonized him as a Centrist who is no better than Trump but during the 3 seconds when Sanders was in the lead we all had to fall in line behind him?

Biden needs to win the general election by securing more votes in the right places than Trump. If you're right, that includes shoring up his losses from spiteful Bernie voters that won't turn out.

How's he going to do that? What's his plan?

And Sanders didn't? Or does his glorious ideological purity and unwillingness to compromise make it so it doesn't count for him?

What was Bernie's plan?

Securing the Democratic regulars, the pissed off lefties, and disaffected independents and moderate cons that are not happy with Trump with a message of left-wing populism and the ending of status quo politics.

We'll never know if it would have worked, such is life. Maybe he would have had an easier time than Biden, maybe it was impossible. That's neither here nor there. Biden has to make it happen.

If you're going to insult people, don't be surprised when they don't support you out of spite.

Yeah I heard that from the Trumpers in '16. We all deserved Trump for being uppity liberals. It was our own fault then too.
