The Trump Presidency: Part 20

... Snip... I am absolutely certain Trump would smile as he stepped over the corpses of his children to get something he wanted.. Snip.. .

Wish people wouldn't make such silly statements. There is no way Trump would step over the corpses of his children... Someone would have to move them out of his way!

I guess it depends on your definition of work. If President Trump considers the 12 hours a day he spends watching FoxNews a critical part of his Presidential duties, then maybe he does work 15-16 hours a day.

My personal anecdotal experience is that people who claim to work ridiculous hours often vastly overstate their time worked by including all kinds of things as working time and/or claiming their longest ever day as a typical one.

I've in the past talked about the sub-class of "Busy" people where the act of being "Busy" seems to have taken on a life of its own and where being "Busy" has become this separate thing, distinct from the actual things that ostensibly are keeping them "Busy."

Think about it, you know someone like this, a "Busy" person who is always preparing for, recovering from, planning for, or talking about "Being busy" yet... never actually seems to ever be in the moment in the act of actually doing anything. "Busy" is always, always something they either just did or are about to do.

Someone (I think on this board) referred to them as "People who run from crisis to crisis so much all they have time to do is run."

I wonder if Trump is some strange version of it.

It's the old adage, you and I read the paper, the very important person reviews the papers.

Re: Trump getting rid of Pence as VP...

Trump might try it if he thinks he can find a VP who might bring in more votes than he loses by dumping Pence. Someone like Nikki Haley. (Trump might think "The Evangelicals are dumb enough to vote for me no matter what... but I might just convince a few women to vote for me.".)

Not saying it would necessarily work. (Just that it might be something Trump could try.

Oh Trump can dump Pence from the ticket easily. Pence would be a lame duck until January 2021. Forcing Pence out as veep before then is more difficult.

And Alex Jones, who Donnie has praised on several occasions, was arrested in Texas last night on a DUI. The best people...

It's a safe bet that Trump's "workday" is just as you describe.

Trump was making huge, outrageously leveraged, financially ruinous deals, but day-to-day, he spent "surprisingly large" amounts of time "looking at fabric swatches," Leerhsen writes. "Indeed, flipping through fabric swatches seemed at times to be his main occupation," and "some days he would do it for hours," probably because fabric swatches "were within his comfort zone — whereas, for example, the management of hotels and airlines clearly wasn't."

Can, actually. Touch something contaminated, like, say, when you shake a hand and it's on your hand. Touch their hand and it's now on both your hands. Each of you touches your face and it's right next to potential entry points. That's the thing about really contagious diseases. They're really contagious. Incidentally, that right there has a lot to do with the emphasis on washing your hands well.

That's right, I don't imagine these twerps wash their hands properly.

Maybe there's hope. :)

Star Trek:TOS actually predicted that ages ago. :p

If you like automobils, how can you vote for a Democrat who all want to get rid of cars, as quickly as possible, especially if they are powered by gasoline. Remember also, no more than one car per family. I, on the other hand, have new plants being built all over Michigan, Plus!

Best unemployment numbers in the history of our Country. Best employment number EVER, almost 160 million people working right now. Vote Republican, unless you want to see these numbers obliterated!

Here is a photo of Nikki Haley's wedding. I'm not sure the Trump faithful will entirely approve.

Edit: Linky no worky. You can Google it. She had both Christian and Sikh ceremonies. There's someone with a turban in the picture.
Then again, she's probably more of a Christian than Trump.

They even have their own slogans that they try and sell to all and sundry. "Want to get something done? Ask a busy person!" Although there is a bit of crossbreeding with those other odious personality types "the extroverts". ***sneer***

Is he - is he trying to take credit for population growth?

“And don’t forget the year! No president has ever governed in a higher numbered year. All the other presidents were in the 1900s.”

Seems as though Trump's "It will be a long day for Bernie" tweet today is just about the only thing he has been right about in a long, long, time.
